I am going to be using one of the Keystone 1048 battery holders in the SX350 box mod I am building and I would like to know if it is ok to solder wires to the tabs on this battery holder with the tabs still in the battery holder. Will the plastic of this battery holder get too hot and melt?
Or do I need to remove the tabs before soldering?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

If you are not experienced in soldering, I would suggest removing them 1st. More than a couple seconds of heat tends to start melting them.

Thanks for the reply to my question.
I am not real experienced in soldering and that is why I wondering about this. I will remove the tabs to be sure I do not melt the battery holder.
I finally have all my required parts and will start my build tomorrow.
I have built a lot of things(my house, race cars, boats, etc), but never a mod.
