I bought a Kgo kit at the end of March. Since then everything has been smooth vaping until today when I took one of the batteries off of the charger and it wouldn't work. It is a manual battery with 5 click protection, so I checked to see if the guard was on, but no dice. In fact, the only time the L.E.D. flashes at all is when I screw it back into the charger. When I do this the charger lights up green. Does all this mean my battery is dead for good?

I had the same thing happen with a Riva ( pretty much the same batt ) though mine did not have the 5 click on / off feature so Im sure there are differences on the board that the switch is mounted on.

It was the same result though.... dead batt ! I still have it sitting here as a project to tear into when i get the time and every now and then the LED on the switch will pulse on and off for a few minutes, then stop.

I took it as a sign and upgraded my Rivas to Ego Twists. The extra few dollars for the Twist is WELL worth it in my book. The vari voltage on the twist ( either in 650 mah or 1000 mah ) is a very nice upgrade from the standard Kgo / Riva / Ego batts. ..... just my 2 :2c:

Just get a regular (ego) battery without the led's...the more bling on the battery, the more chances something goes wrong...it's electrical so stuff happens..i've had ego batteries die in 1 month...but you have a 1 month at least guarantee..
Liberty flights guarantees them for like 5 or 6 months!

plust bootleg, try an ego twist a variable volt ego battery up to 4.8 volts!
if not, just get 650 mah or 900 mah plain ego-t battery, w/no led!!!! that just wears out the battery faster by having to show you the charge amount and puffs left!

also try these tools for your ego...unreal vapor and taste....

p.s i always have at least 3 ego batteries in case something goes wrong.

- get a 5 volt usb passthrough...(litecigusa.com) has great one for $11 bucks.
- i also have a mod vari volt (infinity pro) the more the merrier! heheh

check out these items i've found that kick it! awesome vapor!

1. great little fogmak'n machine here...and at only 2.4 ohms..omg!! gotvapes threw it in my order for free, and it'll work on a cig style battery too since it's 2.4 ohms only! (GotVapes VISION EXTREME REGULAR 1.5ml 510 Carto 2.4-2.6ohm 1 PC)

a.) EgO Dual Coil 1.5ohm 4.5ml Blank Cartomizers
b.) 510 CLEAR XXXL Dual Coil 1.5ohm MEGA SOFT CAP Blank Cartomizers
c.) i got this the other day from gotvapes, he just threw it in w/my order...i mentioned it above...is small so is low-key when going out...

:mad:enjoy my experimentation results..you won't be disappointed with any of the above items..kicks em all to the side o' the curb.

Possible that it's fully charged but ... um... not working for vaping.

One thought... wait a bit. Sometimes people get juice in the button on these eGo type units and it ceases to function. So the unit doesn't know you're pressing the button. Usually it is "flaky" operation when this happens tho, so you'd have some indication before the button failed.

It's most likely that it's toast. But set it aside for a few days/week and see if it "dries out".

Like red-and-green-and-goes-around-and-around said, it's good to have spares.

Out of curiosity...Do you use LR cartos on it ? What ohms, or what atty/carto (link)?

I will keep holding on to it, just in case it starts to work again for one reason or another. If it is dead, it is probably my fault because I am a messy dripper and I don't usually use the cone. Lesson learned.
This battery was came from hoosierecig.com. I've mostly been using the LR attys that came with the kit, but I occasionally use Smok Tech 2.0 LR cartomizers.

Well, if they are 2.0 LR not an issue anyway. And 1.5 may even not be an issue anymore.

(Looks it up)

2 batteries 1100mAh NOW WITH 5 CLICK BUTTON PROTECTION! 1.5ohm capable, Silver trim.
2pcs 2.0 ohm LR atomizer

So not an issue either way. Even says 1.5 ohm is OK. So meh.

Betting on button. But it could be fried too. I would expect that it would normally last longer than that. Also, I drip too so I know how that can happen.

If it does work again, please try to remember to update this thread so we know!

Fingers crossed for you and good luck!

You won't have to worry about messy dripping if you just get a dripshield from empiremods.com, or they have them even cheaper at valuevapor.com.
here's a link.
dripshield

Just put it over the atomizer..(holes on shield should be at top) so juice won't flow thru them on to battery... o.k...

it cools atty too while your vaping , so atty lasts longer taboot!!
No more messy juice on your ego..or mod...get one today bootleg..k
Frog.
:D
