Using KGO batteries and Kanger T2 & T3s for about a month now and one of my 2 KGOs is barely charging any longer. Was it the Kangers or a dud KGO battery? The KGOs have only been in steady use for about 2-3months. One works all day, the other one works about 10 times before the led blinks that it needs recharging. I'm not sure what the problem is other than a dud battery. Not sure I want to get another KGO if the life expectancy is so short. Any advice on batteries that work with Kangers that last longer than a month or 3?

Hi maryliz,
I don't know if SLB[KGO] has a QC ISSUE or what. Ive been using mostly joyetech since June with no problems other than the Twist had a sticky button for a little awhile. Many have used Kgo without problems. But, when i got 3 kits of Kgo, one battery had to be sent back under warranty and another is acting like yours, after 30 days. I started using a Kanger T2 Sept. 1st with no problem attached to any of my Joyetech, but when i attached my kgo i got nothing and ended up using a ego to 510 adapter to make the connection.

I do not know if it will fix your problem but the KGO is notorious for the battery post inside the head slipping down and making little to no contact. some pull it up with a small screwdriver or tweezers. i used a bent paperclip

I read that and already tried it, to no avail. Still doesn't hold a charge longer than about 10 times. I put it on the charger and it's red for about two minutes then goes green as if it's fully charged (but still only works 10 times approx) I've left it on the charger for an hour, same results.

My KGOs are 7 months old and still going strong although I don't use them much anymore. KGOs are fine - I think you just got a dud. Sorry, but that's just the luck of the draw and doesn't mean KGOs are junk or have QC problems.

Same thing with the Twists or any other device. A certain percentage fail early. It sucks when it happens to you, but that doesn't mean they are junk or that the next one you get will fail early.

Anybody can point to some story of some device failing. But it's just anecdotal evidence, and ignores the other thousands of them that did NOT fail early.

As cheap as the Twists and Spinners are, I just don't see any reason to buy a non-VV KGO or eGo any longer. That's why my KGOs don't see much action. The Twist and Spinner are my go-to PVs now. The KGOs are backups for my backups.

some of the kgo's have a rubber button sleeve and not a hard plastic button. i dont know if yours does, but they can easily rip or be damaged so its always wise to keep any off old kgos that have bit the dust.

Hmmm... I'm well aware of the rubber/silicone button ripping problem. When I first got these KGO's, one of them had the button already hanging by a teeny bit of rubber. I returned it and got a new replacement. Now I'm wondering if this dead one is the *supposedly* new one. Hmmm. :(

The plus side of the coil is very close to the shell (negative) side and if one pokes the coil just right the plus side might short against the shell. This would show a dead short to the battery.

However, it's my understand most batteries have short protection and will cut themselves off. To reset the battery you have to attach it to the charger.
