I have a KGO and I use BOGE 2.0 LR cartomizers. That was what several experienced members here suggested to me when I was getting set up a few weeks ago. I like them a lot and for me I think they work great! Hope this helps.

Thank You! I will have to get some and try them out!
How good is the TH/Vapor/Taste when using these?

Well, TH/Vapor/Taste are all great IMO, but I only vape the sweeter type juices. My husband is a minty/menthol guy and I can really feel the TH when I taste what he is vaping at the time. I'm sure you probably know by now that it really has a lot to do with the juice, looks like you and I started this adventure at about the same time (I'm absolutely LOVING it!).

Anyway, I really like the LR's. Vapor is warm but not hot. And I really should add that these are the ones I started with from day 1, so I don't have the best info for you comparing to other cartomizers... But, I just ordered some smok tech 1.7 single coil and also some smok tech dual coils a few minutes ago, so I am interested in trying those out and comparing to the 2.0's.

I use the Boge 2.0 cartos on my kGo, as well. Works perfect for me. Plenty of good vapor, nice throat hit, right temp. I may try Smok Tech on my next order just to compare. I tried some unknown brand LR cartomizers and had zero luck with them. I filled and filled them and got nothing but burned polyfill taste. I rarely, rarely get a bad Boge in a batch. I did try a standard resistance in my kGo once. The difference was noticeable, not nearly as satisfying. I love the kGo. It's my first big battery and it's working great. I wish you a lot of luck with it.

@JmeMcg - I definatly am leaning towards the sweeter/menthol/minty type juices...and yes I have noticed. I too am LOVING it!! :) Yes it does look like we started about the same time! :p I guess that's what I am missing from my kGo, is that warm vapor like I get on my 808 (which I use for work on those quick 15min breaks, but on lunch I use the kGo, also on a side note...I noticed your location and it brings back memories, beautiful ones! I used to live out there, but in Multnomah County, Portland/Gresham area )

@jjustinjj1280 - Thank you! yes that burnt poly isn't the best flavor :D

I think I am definatly going to order some Boge 2.0 and maybe some 1.7 to see what the difference is between the 2 as well!

Thank you both for your valuable input! I appreciate it!

I recently got a kGo, and was wondering, don't know if this has been posted or asked somewhere else, but is it better to use a Low resistance carto/atty (2.2 - 2.6ohm) or high resistance (3.0 to 3.4ohm) with them? And what exactally is the difference?

2.2-2.6ohm is generally not considered low resistance. Most people consider low resistance to be 2.0ohm and below. And standard resistance would be be something like a 2.5ohm carto or a 3.0ohm carto.

Standard resistance attys/cartos give a cool vape, while low resistance attys/cartos provide a warmer vape and more TH. the lower the resistance the warmer the vape will be. So while a 2.0ohm carto and a 1.5ohm carto are both considered low resistance, the 1.5ohm carto will give a warmer vape with alittle more TH than the 2.0ohm carto will. Most people prefer Low resistance over standard resistance. Neither one is really cOnsidered better, it's more of a preference.
For the kGo I recommend trying the Smoktech 1.7ohm XL cartos (also called the Reasurectors). I use an Epower, which is another 3.7V PV and is similar to the kGo and the Ressurectors are the only cartos I use. They are designed for 3.7V PVs, like the kGo and Epower, and they work awesome on both. They are 1.7ohm so they give a nice warm vape with good TH, and they hold about 2ml of juice so they last a pretty long time before needing a refill. The Boges are also good cartos and work well, but personally I like the Ressurectors more, and they hold about twice as much juice which is a plus as well bc you can refill a lot less often.
Crystal Clear Vaping and Hoosier both sell the Ressurectors for a good price. I buy all my cartos from CCV bc they have a good deal and they have free shipping which is nice especially when you just wana order some cartos. Also if you buy a 15-pack you get a free drip tip. CCV also sells the LR and SR Boges.

And if you ever want to refill even less, the Ressurectors work awesome in the Smoktech tanks. The 3.5ml tank is perfect for EPower/kGo sized PVs and it works well. It does come with a dual coil carto, but I think dual coils suck a lower voltages, so I use the Ressurectors instead which work a LOT better. CCV and Hoosier both sell pre-punched Ressurectors too for the Smoktech tanks and they have the metal base on them like the DC carto that comes with the tank does.
the Ressurectors are def worth trying

Thank you mynameisrob for the explanation! Your information was very helpful and easy to understand for a newbie like me! I am going to order a pack of each 2.0, 1.7 and 1.5's This way I can see what my preference would be, as well what juice's i would like warmer and cooler, also plus it will give me some extra carto's on the plus side! And being they hold 2ml of juice will also help in not needing to refill so much. I do have a tank which I bought from Volcano that is 1.5ohms, and I tried it, but I think the punch hole was too small, as I kept getting a burnt taste to it, and fluid wasn't "wicking" in like it should, luckily I bought a spare tubetank carto that had a bigger punch to it, so will definitely have to give that a try now. I have never ordered from CCV, so will definitely try them, and will also try the Ressurector in the set I am buying as the 1.7's.

**edited...noticed CCV is having problems with orders atm so will go with Hoosier

Hi Puma.
Just my 2cents , (based on my limited experience)
the 1.25ohm dual coil clearomizer ( Smoketech) available from Hoosiers is DA BOMB on the KgO...
Excellent flavor, vapor and TH ( TH* based on what %Mg Nic . you're vaping.. Quite a nice kick with 24mg juice.)

Its like vaping with high voltage.. IMHO , with the 3.7v of the KgO.. due to the lower resistance.

I am not sure if you could even push more then 3.7v thru the 1.25 ohm clearomizer, as I see on some sites it is almost exclusively used on 3.7 volt devices.. ( I think it would burn up with higher voltage)

But if you are grabbing something from Hoosiers in the near future.... Pick a few up and give it a try. :)

I don't think you will be disappointed.

- Vin

Keep in mind that using 1.25ohm cartos will void your kGo warranty. They do stress the battery too which could cause problems if your not careful. Your more than welcome to try them and you might like them, but remember that if they damage your battery, your pretty much SOL.
Ive tried the 1.25ohm cartos, and personally I didn't really like them, but I know some people do. I do use LR cartos, but I found that the 1.25 ohms were just overkill. Yes the 1.25ohms give really good TH, but Heat also kills flavor. I really like the 1.7ohms bc it gives a nice warm vape with good TH, but still has good flavor too. The 1.25ohms for me were just hot to the point that they completely killed all the flavor of my juices and if anything just made them taste burnt.

It depends on what kind of juices you use. Tobacco type juices Handle heat a lot better so if you vape a mostly to tobacco type juices you might like the 1.25ohm cartos. If you vape mostly fruit type juices though, you prob won't like them that much bc heat kills the flavor of fruit juices pretty easily and it doesn't take much to make them taste burnt

One of the benefits of going to a higher capacity / regulated voltage 3.7v battery like the KGO is the ability to use lower resistance equipment. As a few posters have stated, lower resistance generally produces warmer vapor which should give you a bit more throat hit.

I wouldn't use anything under 1.5 ohm on the KGO, mainly because the manufacturer says not to ;). I've had success with the Boge 2.0 ohm cartos, and I'll be getting some Smok Tech XL single coil (SC) 1.7 ohm cartos in the near future just to give them a shot. I do have a Smok Tech XXXL Mega Dual Coil (DC) carto, and it works well with much more throat hit than the 2 ohm cartos I've been using, almost too much for me. Since coming from the slim style battery I haven't really used any standard resistance (SR) cartos, but I'm really enjoying the lower resistance Boge cartos and don't know that I really care to try an SR carto...yet.

Anyway, you should be OK to use anything from 1.5 ohm to 3 ohm on the KGO, and you'll get varying results from each. I'd suggest experimenting with different setups to figure out what you like best.

I finally sat down and ordered yesterday, and I am REALLY glad I did based on what you all recommended, even so afterwards, I think I made a good choice :)

Smoktek - Boge XL 510 Carto 2.0 ohm (don't remember if they were dual or single, I think single...but could be wrong)
Hoosier - Boge Single XL 1.7 ohm

***Figured I'd give em both a try and see what I like better, and yes I also read that if you use the 1.25's it voids your warranty..and don't wanna take that chance of something going wrong..unless I wanna new kGo hahaha

For the fun order (to mess with friends minds at work)
GotVapes - Micromixer x7 XL 2.2-2.4 ohm 1.3ml Green carto
Fluxomizer - XL 2.4 - 2.6 ohm 1.8ml Green carto

There are only a few tobacco flavors I like, RY4 and the 555's, most generally the rest are sweet/minty (not too big on the fruits yet...but may get there :p )

Much appreciate the info, as I am always learning this, THANK YOU!

I was just about to post a suggestion that you folks might like the Smoktech 1.7 ohm single coil (I get the XL) or the Crystal Clear Vaping Resurrector 1.7 (which may be the same thing, not sure). I love them and the Boge 2.0 on my E-Power, which is regulated 3.7 volts & I think the same as a KGO in that regard. I like the smoktech dual coil 1.5 ohm but they eat a lot of battery power & guzzle some e-juice. All in all I think it depends a lot on the juice as to what resistance/heat is best.

Happy Vaping! :)

Update: I just got my Boge 2.0 XL LR today, and filled one with a juice, and went to use it, and bam, dead! :( So I tried a second one, this time filled by dripping, and doing the swing thing...and WOW!! Awesome hit, nice and warm, and tasty still too! Now I am anxious for the 1.7's lol :p I am using them on my kGo, haven't tried on my Inferno (ego-T ) yet, but don't know if I need to hahaha Anyways I'm loving this!

THANK YOU ALL for your suggestions and help, it is very much appreciated!
