Ace Hardware carries a variety of hobby use brass strips. Get the piece that 0.016 thick by 1 inch wide, (they're about 18 inches long), sells for less than $1.50.

Cut to length to fit along the inside right wall, cuts easily with a pair of scissors. Gently sand a 1/4 square on the wall up near where the Kick spring will apply pressure. Put a dab of Noalox, (I just use a tube of Permatex dielectric grease that I had laying around), on the sanded spot.

Lay in your brass strip with the spring against it and insert your battery. The strip is just thick enough to hold the Kick firmly with no movement even when you change batteries... unless you decide a bull riding event then all bets are off.

No need for a Kickstand or running a wire down to the spring.

Well, I most definitely like having my kickstand, I need it at least 8 seconds a day :D

Looks like it is and will be out of your hand in the next pic! Don't worry, just dust it off and vape!
No way, I'm just too good of a bull rider to lose my reo.:D I land on my feet like a cat; reo firmly in my paw, and I never lose my cowboy hat  But in the event I do drop it, I just hope theirs no Bull Crap involved.
