So, in the space of a few months I've gone from smoking, to 510 sticks, to egos, and am now playing with some VV devices and simple clearomizers (evods, protank 2, iClear 16, iClear 30). Here's the question. I picked up a mechanical and a sigelei Kick clone. After doing this I discovered that I really don't enjoy the taste of my vape when the voltage is controlled by pulses rather than a flat voltage. I know that the Kick clone I have uses the typical Chinese 33 Hz chip so it doesn't put out a steady voltage. Does the Genuine Kick use the same sort of chip, or does it put out a flat voltage?

Not a big mechanical or kick user, but I wanted to say hello and welcome you to the Forum. I have noticed that the Chinese chips are all pretty much the same, and the different vapes from the eVic, Provari and Nivel chips are noticeably different and better. Since it boils down to the heat on the coil, you wouldn't think that there would be a noticeable difference, but there is in the higher end chips. I wish I could be more helpful on the kick. Good luck. Someone will be along shortly that has used these devices. In the meantime, welcome and congrats on getting to the Forum. Best to you!

Welcome to the forum first of all. I use a kick 2 in my smok telescope and it never leaves I absolutely love it. I also had an original kick I fried by putting an upside down battery in. Whatever you do please be mindful to not make the same mistake. That was a sad day. I just recently ordered a sigelei 19e from kidney puncher that had the option of adding the kick clone for $15 bucks. I wasn't aware that it was pulse mode. Im a little curios to see its performance now that I read your post.

Thanks for the info. It seems that the original puts out steady voltage and the clone (at least the Sigelei one) doesn't. I just purchased one online and hopefully it will be as great as everyone says it is when I get it.
The Kick and Kick 2 by Evolve does pulse, but it's at 600mHz instead of 33mHz, it just seems like a steady voltage. After researching both I decided to go with the Kick 2, but my friends have forbidden me from ordering anything vape related until after my birthday and christmas. I dunno but I have this weird feeling I'm getting vape gear for my birthday and christmas.
