I keep having to log back on the site frequently when I haven't logged off. This is irritating when tryin to post only to find out that I have to log back in and retype everything. Tried the remember me button. Is there a remedy for this?

The remember me button should do the trick. Do you still have it as an option by the login fields? If so, it didn't take. If it's gone, you've created the necessary cookie.

Maybe your browser or even your security removes cookies when you close your blowser.
It might have something to do with the browser you're using. If you use Google Chrome, you can tell the browser itself to remember your login info and then you shouldn't have that problem.
I have the same problem but that's because I have a cookie cruncher. So if I remember to turn it off the log in problem goes away so I'm thinking cookies or lack there of may be your problem. I'm hungry now so I'm gonna go grab a cookie. good luck to you

I guess your session times out due to inactivity for a few minutes and you are automatically logged out??? Remember me doesn't remember me and I'm constantly having to log in again and again

Have you tried clearing your cache and cookies? It could just be a bad login cookie, which this would fix. If that's not it, give some more info to help us help you (browser you're using, etc) and I'm sure somebody will find the answer for you
I stayed logged in overnight and made this post with no problem. Don't know what fixed it, but......
It's a local issue, meaning it's on your computer. We will always try to help fix these things.
Normally it is a browser problem of some kind although occasionally it can be down to a computer issue. This normally applies when the problem is complex. Example: if you can't login to a photo sites and use their facilities, a Java update is required on the PC.
It sounds as if your problem is fixed, so there's no need to go into too much detail - but these problems are usually caused by one of the following:
- Cookies
- Cache
- Browsing history (this can be separate from cache and include DNS records etc)
- Settings
- Plugin
Flushing all private data almost always fixes it.
Settings can be a problem if your browser is set to do something you weren't aware of. For example if it is set to delete all cookies on exit then you will lose the key (cookie) the site has given you to return without logging in.
Plugins sometimes do things you don't expect. For example an image blocker might block a Captcha you need to see to complete a registration.
