Have you considered 24mg? I smoked and vaped for 3 or 4 weeks. Seriously, a couple cigs a day is NOTHING compared to what we used to smoke. It's definitely nothing to beat yourself up over. Have you found the flavor that just "does it" for you?

I also removed cigs as an option. I stopped carrying them around with me everywhere. Suddenly I didn't care anymore. That excited me to NO end. Still does :)

Took me 6 months to finally kick it, even though I would go a month or two without smoking at all. I would just have to have 1 or 2 a day for a week or two, then I would stop again for a couple of months. Then the craving would come back again, and go away again after a week or so. Until the cycle finally stopped.

I'm finally over it, and I can say that confidently. What helped me--WTA juice, and Swedish Snus.

If you really want to quit, you will eventually. Don't try to rush it.

Exactly... Not everyone can just switch over to vaping 100%. It's more common for folks making the switch to do so gradually. This isn't a race! Pace yourself.

It may mean you are addicted to the other things in cigs than just nicotine.
Others have the same problem. Read here, this may help.

Good luck.

When i quit i used 36 mg and the first 2 weeks i STILL craved cigs, so there was something else there that is addictive. The first 2 weeks without cigs were rough but after that it calmed way down. Hope this helps. Welcome to ECF and good luck.

That is what science has been pointing to... the other chemicals and alkaloids in tobacco smoke that are possibly addictive as well, combined with nicotine just strengthens the addiction.

The WTA suggestion is a valid one in my opinion. Even after I was vaping exclusively for a few weeks, there were times that even chain-vaping 24mg was not scratching the itch. The WTA liquids from Aroma e Juice was just the thing I needed for when the cravings got overbearing.
Whole Tobacco Alkaloid WTA Eliquid Ejuice

It didn't take much either, I never even finished off my 10ml bottle (24mg/nic) of Beatle Juice but instead passed it on to another who was struggling. Not cheap stuff, but it's worth it if it does the trick!

A little reading if your interested in what is known about nicotine addiction and how other compounds, MAOI's and alkaloids in tobacco smoke play a role in the addiction process.

I'm the same way and it is frustrating. Certain key times of the day are really hard. For me it's the morning commute and break time at work. Weekends are really easy. Best advice I received is congratulate yourself for the ones you didn't smoke and every time the craving hits, vape for just one minute before giving in to it. A lot of times the craving will pass. Either way, I find I'm proud of myself for cutting back from over a pack a day to only a few. You should be, too. Those last few will go away soon enough.

It really is a head game. It's a tough head game. You can always turn to ECF for the struggles. You're not alone. Chances are you've helped someone else feel not so alone.
