So, twice in the past week, I have dropped my eGo on the tile floor. Atty sounds ok, but have to take 4 or 5 puffs now to get anything. (have spares). Are these "dead" now or can I "tweak anything " to return them to full vapor ?

Hard to tell. Most drops will get the battery rather than the atty but it's possible I guess. Best way is to take a meter to them. A multimeter is what is needed. If you have spares, try them and if they don't do well it's likely the battery.
