So sorry cardiackid! It's tough.

I was unable to stop analogs until I tried juice with WTA; it completely TOOK my cravings. Now, I still have WTA juice on hand, but I don't have to use it all the time. Just a couple of drags a day, or especially when I feel that desire to 'lite-up', and I'm good to go.

No reason to be "jealous". Some of us struggle the same as you. I did for 2 years, until WTA came along. Now, I've finally made the switch completely to vaping.

I'm posting just so you'll have something else to consider...

Feel better soon!

Wonder if any Canadian suppliers carry the WTA??

The WTAs would probably help with the worst of the cravings.

A lot of people spend time in the transition period when you are vaping and smoking. I spent about a month doing that. From about 1 PAD, I went down to 5-7 cigarettes per day with vaping, and am now analog free. 24 hours and counting since I have had a stinky analog.:2cool:

Don't let the sig fool you. I use it to track how many cigarettes I have NOT smoked overall.

Please don't feel bad, it was years after my heart attack that I was able to finally win this battle. I had to break two ankles at one time, lose my job and have no one to care for me but a seventeen year old daughter. I was forced to change my life. Broken ankle number two had something to do with it too, I learned that smoking kept me from much needed surgery to repair the horrible break and I am on nine months of recovery now on that leg alone. Two hard casts, wheelchair for months and a boot that I'm still in.... Long time smokers, I was a two plus pack a day for 35 years are tough cookies. I think everyone has their own time when they are ready and truly, without this forum and e cigs I know I would still be smoking. Don't give up and don't down yourself, you will get there.

Well i have not totally switched, yet either. I read a survey or something on ECF & 15% of vapeurs vape/smoke. I was fortunate to aquire a great PV & WTA's right away, but i countinued to struggle with finding the proper delivery system for me. I have just now been able to get all my vaping gear right & hope to sometime soon slither-out of the 15% catagory, lol! Cheers, terry

Please keep at it and maybe step your nic up. That might just help you out. If you are a PAD smoker of reg strength cigs then 24mg will do fine. If you smoke more then that then 36mg should suffice.

You just have to make sure that you want to quit and be painfully persistent about it. Once you get the urge then vape until your withdrawal symptoms have subsided. A heart attack isn't something to play around with and smoking cigs isn't going to help you any. If you really wanna live longer then I implore you to make a lifestyle change right now at this moment.

I confess I still sneak a smoke every other day or so. A stronger battery and dripping helped me reduce from 4-5 a day. Usually a strong drip will get me through a crave, but if I see it in a movie or a book, that still sets me off. Someone else said it took them a Reo mod to quit totally, so that made me realize it is just finding the right groove.

I went shopping today and could smell the smokers, that was interesting. I'm getting better everyday. No turning back!

No turning back!

Great post. I think that line is the perfect tool to use to quit cigs for good. It really does get easier with time and can understand. I'm the only one that vapes and the people I know smoke around me all the time. I have to tell them to back up since the the smoke was getting to me. I guess they got into the habit of doing that when I was a smoker too.

I have to admit that it does trigger the urge but then, I can vape 3ml of juice rather quickly LOL. Usually go through that much in a day normally. REO's are only effective if you don't like to mess around with things when you vape and want to be able to carry around X amounts of juice with you. It's the convenience aspect that attracts people to bottom feeders.

One thing I found helps is to put your analogs in an inconvenient spot and have your PV right next to you all the time. Over time, you'll reach for the PV more and more, rather than having to stop what you're doing and grab your smokes. I kept mine in my car. When I was at work, I couldn't run out to the car to grab them and when I was at home, I didn't want to. After a while, I didn't even think about it. Just grabbed my PV. It was a real shock when I realized I hadn't had an analog for a couple of weeks. I quit smoking without realizing it.
