Kinda New Guy Looking for Mod Advice!

So, I've been vaping for a few days now (I know, days and I'm already looking to update, I like new things what can I say?)

I currently have a Kranger EVOD and and Kranger T3S tank and I can tell ya, this vaping thing is really making me feel a ton better. Still haven't kicked the old analog but we're sure as hell getting there!

Between juices and mods I've been learning more and more and it's getting easier to use the "lingo" and that so don't hold back on me when I start asking questions :p

Now I've been looking into mods, and holy lord it's expensive for startup. But I know me being the person I am, I like to set my own look almost. Be a bit different from the crowd, I mean, those who smoked before can attest, we all kinda started smoking to be a bit of a rebel.

Now into my main point, I really wanna up myself and my experience by going into mods and different tanks. I'm not much into dripping because of the hassle. But if you guys think it'll add to my experience I'm all ears. I was looking at mods like the Virtus CV1, which looks amazing but I'm not too sure I wanna spend that kind of green.

I just need to know before I go throwing money at people what would be a good place to step up to. I customized my tank for the Kranger by drilling the holes a bit bigger and I'm getting plumes that someone using the manual stick batteries and low cost tanks could be proud of. I'm hoping to keep that same experience.

So I'll leave it to the experts (you guys) who've been doing this for a lot longer than I have to help me out! Any advice is definitely appreciated for this step up!

Thanks so much to anyone who steps forward to help! :vapor::D

I've got the cv1 virtus and have yet to run into another in the wild. It's an awesome piece but it's heavy... HEAVY! I use it often but enjoy my lighter mods when on the go. You could pick up the cloned "slug" at 101vape.com, I've been really tempted. It's ugly in a cool way and very unique! You can rock 510 atomizers but the ts3 iirc has a different threading and won't work. I moved into rebuildables pretty quickly but did a lot of research. Have to be aware once you wrap your own of the kind of amps you're pulling and be sure your battery can handle it. So you'll need a ohm meter and an app, vapors tool box, or similar.

It's worth getting something cool as a reward for quitting tobacco.

Yeah it is a little expensive to get into mods but you can buy clones of the authentic mods for cheaper. Usually the quality of the clones are just as good as the authentics. You mentioned the CV1, that's a mechanical mod. I wouldn't recommend a mech for anyone just starting out or someone that's just going to be using tanks. Mech mods are really good for people that use rebuildable atomizers. With a mechanical mod you can't change the voltage and wattage for the resistance of your atomizer. Dripping is a great way to go. I have 4 drippers and ever since I started dripping I haven't looked back to tanks and cartos because I get killer flavor, a ton of vapor, and it's become my hobby rebuilding my drippers. It's really all just personal preference. If you want something easy where you just fill the tank and don't have to worry about anything go with a variable voltage/wattage device and if you want to get into rebuilding get an RBA. It's all subjective, its whatever YOU like. I'd say get a 50 or 100 watt box mod and a dripper but that's just my preference, other people might not like it but that's what I like. And I also wouldn't buy a mech that new into vaping because that's a whole other demon if you don't know what you're doing.

I ran pro tank 3's on a mech about a week or two into vaping. It isn't using the potential of the mod but it was cool. It was a $30 clone and gave me a new shiny to stay motivated. I did a ton of research on rebuildables. It's seems complicated and a bit intimidating at first. The thing with atomizers, rebuildable or not, they can make or break the vaping experience and there's so many to choose from. If I could do it again, I'd have gone straight to drippers because they're much easier to build, the clones are dirt cheap and even the crappy ones are pretty good. As you get more comfortable and knowledge in rebuilding, then look into rebuildable tanks.

Of course you can skip all this, it's up to each person to choose what's right for them.

One more bit of advice, cheap juice tastes like poo in drippers. You will likely not enjoy juices in higher nicotine levels either. Six is as high as I'll go in a dripper.

Oh! Buy slow! Watch a ton of videos, especially if you want authentic. My Russian was $100 and I've already retired it to the back up box. It's got some major issues that weren't mentioned in the reviews.
