I consider myself moderately experienced at vaping now. Been doing it since 4 November 2013. I have finally decided to switch to temperature control recently. I am awaiting my first roll of Ni200 28 awg to arrive in the vapemail.
To those that have made the switch, is it all that it claims to be?

I have a particular juice that no matter how hard I try I can't tell when it's about to go dry and needs a redrip. It goes from full flavor to throat burning cotton with no warning. All my other juices aren't an issue but this one is sneaky.

So I'm looking forward to a more carefree vape.

While I greatly appreciate my TC setups - Ni works a bit better for me in the ~usability~ department than Ti - I still have kanthal in the mix when subohming around 70W.

This is in large part due to the Smok TFV4 and the triple and quad kanthal coils - they just produce better flavor and vape for me than anything I've been able to build consistently for a ~tank~. On my home dripper setup I still favor Ni over Ti but I'm in full-time TC w/ no kanthal in sight anymore.

I still use kanthal but also use temp control. I'd say TC is a different vape to kanthal but still very good. Is it better than kanthal? I guess that depends on your own personal tastes. But for worry free vaping TC is great IMO.

One thing I've noticed is not all TC mods are equal. Some do TC really well some not so good.

What kind of coils work best for the Ni? It seems most people use a loose coil format. I'll be building and dripping on my velocity so space isnt really an issue for me. Got any pics?

Hopefully the ivp 4s is one of the good ones.

Spaced coils work best with Ni200. I use a machine screw to get the spaces nice and even.

Here's a 28 gauge Ni200 build I made wrapped around a 3mm machine screw.

I really see the value of TC in drippers, but don't use them much.

Tried TC in my RTA's, didn't think it was a nice as kanthal. Dry hitting isn't an issue in RTA's, any tank that I can't get to wick will go in the garbage - hasn't happened yet :)

These are my exact thoughts as well. I have moved from kanthal to SS wire though as I prefer it but I'm just using it the same as I would kanthal, no TC.

Well I already have the mod. Why not spend the $5 for a roll of Ni200 and take a swing. Worse case scenario it sucks and I go right back to what I'm doing now.

If you don't like Ni200 try Grade 1 Titanium. I prefer it to Ni200 now and because it has a higher resitance than Ni200 you can use lower gauge wire. Also it's not as soft as Ni200 so building is easyer with it IMO.

Nothing has been proven to be safe to vape. It will take a few decades before that happens ;)
Exactly. Hopefully it's just not proven with a massive kill off or cancer surge lol. Either way I still feel very confident that it's a way safer alternative to cigs!
