Does anyone know the brand of charger that comes with the Provari kit??

ProVari Variable Voltage Electronic Cigarette Starter Kit V2.5

I can't make out the name brand,,,,,,,,and with all the talk about chargers, I'd really like a good charger.

Do you recommend getting the kit?? or buying everything separately???

I actually just received my kit today. So the battery charger is a Tenergy TN270. It charges 2 batteries and is adjustable for size of battery. It charged my batteries right up in less than half an hr., but they probably came partially charged. It is a solid little charger for my needs, but if you want to charge more than 2 batteries, you will probably want to go with the bigger charger. I think someone said you save about $4 by getting the kit. I got it to make things easy and to get the PT2, then added on 2 extra batteries and a car charger.

If it were me... I would buy a single ProVari, extension cap, (unless you want some Tatroe extensions or others instead) and one AW IMR if you don't have one.. I would then buy more AW IMR batteries and the Xtar VP1 charger from here:

Welcome to RTD Vapor

Battery Chargers : Xtar VP1

Personally, I use the Pila charger, but I've read reviews from the flashlight crowd which rates the Xtar VP1 right up there with it.. :)
Same advice I would give. :thumb:

If you can't afford the Pila or VP1, the Nitecore Intellicharger i2 or i4 or the Xtar SP2 or XP4 are a decent middle ground for quality chargers.

Good move....I'm finding the PT2 to be too airy for my taste. I'll have to get an air flow regulator to use this.

People laugh when I tell them I use these to restrict airflow, but they work, and they're cheap too. The hole fits around the 510 connector and since it's narrower than the base, you don't see it. You can layer them if you need more or less restriction and they absorb a bit (not all, of course) of any seeping. They last about two or three tankfuls.

I just purchased the Xtar VP1 last week and I like how it tells exactly how low your batteries are and only charges them to 4.2. I was using the Tenergy that I got with my provari but all six of my batteries (AW 18350 & 14500) made a high pitched noise while charging which they don't do with the VP1. The only negative is the VP1 takes longer to charge them. Approx 3 hours compared to 1.5.
