Knowing ohms of wrapped coil without mounting on RDA

Hmm...my multi-meter looks like the one below with straight pointy "pens"...

Do I just use each end of the pens to connect to each end of my coil?

Put them on the positive and negative posts of the rda

red is positive

the center post is positive.

positive or negative doesn't matter for measuring ohms. it matters for voltage.

....just tried using the 2 metal points on each end of the raw coil itself and I think I managed to get the ohm without putting the coil into the RDA.

sure, it is pretty much simple

note - that different gauge or wire or coil type would give you different resistance.
and
the same coil and type should give you the same resistance any time you check it.
