Do all tank atomizer add THAT much resistance?

I've been using RDA's for quite some time now, and today my AGI Drip & tank atty came in; I've never used a rebuildable tank before. I used 28ga kanthol wire wrapped 4 times around 2mm silica as I normally do. My meter read 2+ ohm. I redid the coil w/ 3 tighter wraps and was able to get it down to about 1.5 ohm, and the coil took forever to heat up.

I removed the tank portion to use it only as a dripper and the meter read .4, just as I like it. I'm using a mechanical mod...

My question do all tank atomizers add that much resistance to the ohm reading? Or are there other tank atty's built with other type of material that allow less resistance?

AGI requires hot spring mod to correct voltage drop issue.

I just stuffed copper wire strands inside AGI hot spring (took about 1 minute). I'm sure I can further improve voltage drop w/ a little tinkering.

"I repeated voltage drop test w/ 2 other atomizers w/ same coil style and resistance (double checked).

Voltage drop test:
1-4-14
samsung INR18650-20R
Brass nemesis clone (never cleaned threads, axle greased switch post)
Pulse G clone (didn't snug coil terminals)
1.2 ohm
Voltage drop = 0.09 volts

Voltage drop test:
1-4-14
samsung INR18650-20R
Brass nemesis clone (never cleaned threads, axle greased switch post)
AGI tank mode (didn't snug coil terminals)
1.2 ohm
Voltage drop = 0.21 volts

Voltage drop test (repeat):
1-4-14
samsung INR18650-20R
Brass nemesis clone (never cleaned threads, axle greased switch post)
Pulse G clone (did snug coil terminals)
1.2 ohm
Voltage drop = 0.09 volts (retested the same)."

are all the other Youde RBA's normal then? Such as the AGA-TD, T3, AGT?

buzz - I'm using it without the tank now, it looks flush with my Nemisis clone. I like the look!

I have a AGA something one of the early models. Some one sent it to me some a mod I purchased. Ive never built it. So I cant say wich of them if any are good. Lots of people like the RSST.

Just bought an AGA T2 and it's great, the AGT on the other hand I would like to smash with a hammer (if it wasn't titanium). The AGT is tiny, impossible to build, wicks awfully, and overpriced. A friend who has the AGI replaced that spring with a piece of brass, I believe and it works much better.

The RSST is incredibly easy to build and works like a charm. Probably the most used piece of equipment I own.

AGI is my favorite 22mm glass tank topper and my favorite 22mm single coil dripper.
I love the look and machining quality.
It vapes fine after spring mod at 1.2 ohms with 0.21v voltage drop.
The hot spring offers protection against hard shorts but causes excessive voltage drop at higher wattage.
Per UD intruction manual, the AGI is designed for 2.2 to 2.5 ohms but will do much lower once hot spring is bypassed.

The thing that stops me with the RSST is the plastic tank. TOO many of my juices crack plastic. I do have a pair of AGA-T2s and they work a dream. I just wish I had asked the fellow I bought them from to drill out the airhole on both of them rather than just 1. It made a big difference and I am power tool challenged. :p

While you are drilling, do consider drilling all AGA-T2 deck wick hole threads out. Makes wick insertion much nicer.
