Kools anyone?

I saw the post below about Winstons and thought I'd do the same .
I tried some Newport knockoff flavor that was pretty good. It tasted like a menthol cigarette but I don't smoke Newport. Have any Kool smokers tried anything that was remotely close to Kools? I read somewhere that you really shouldn't try to match your current brand but I just can't resist. When I used up all of the menthol in my starter kit (menthol with NO tobacco flavor)I started trying other flavors. I went a whole day puffing on cherry but the next day, in between puffing on vanilla (yuck) and tobacco (o.k. I guess) I started thinking about that fresh, menthol goodness sitting in my top drawer (my emergency pack).I've even gone so far as to try making some myself (mixing tobacco and menthol flavors together). I came pretty close twice but they usually just taste like feet with a little mint rubbed on them. Has anyone had any luck with the diy type vendors doing special requests? I noticed diy flavorshack had black & mild (cigar) flavor available from a past request. I wonder if anyone does the same with cig brands?

If i remember correctly Menthol Ice from Halo was pretty close. at least thats what my friend that i let borrow my spare 510 and the bottle. I alternate which bottle of halo from the true pure to cool mist and then menthol ice. Since its been 2 weeks since ive had a menthol i can't really remember what the cigs taste like, i know i like the menthol ice the most so i only use it when i am home. i take the true pure and cool mist to work with me so i dont waste the good stuff when im not relaxing

i had tried some menthol flavors from cignot and american e liquids because i heard alot of good reviews but they just didn't seem to hold up. When i heard the crazy commotion that went on when Halo was going to be restocked and ready to go for what seemed like forever i thought, its payday why not by each flavor. Ever since that first drop dripped down on the atty i knew i had found what i was looking for in a juice. As for the original question i can't really tell anymore, I have forgotten what real cigs taste like. I can only go back to the memory i had when i first tried halo. lol i want to say yes it does have a slight tobacco hint to it. Its what reminds me most of a kool or marl menthol light. The other menthols i have tasted from other vendors are more like candy mint or straight Halls menthol.

I'll second this. I smoked Kools for years, and I find that a lot of the menthol flavors out there are too 'minty' for my taste. V4L has some really good menthols. I especially LOVE the Dunhall menthol--it doesn't taste like a Kool (not even sure if it tastes like a Dunhill; never smoked one!)--but man it's GOOD !!

I agree and the nuport flavor tastes like a Kool to me. I have been smoking Kools/Newports for 9 years, vaping for the past week weeks (almost 3 now i think...) and I haven;t tried a lot of flavors, but i did the same thing and went right for the cig brand flavors like what I smoked. Try nuport from vapor4 life. tasty and cheap! Very strong though, i would recommend going to a medium or lower level!

Vapor4Life offers samplers, 5 flavors for $10 (5 catomizers). They have 2 or 3 menthol samplers and 3 or 4 tobacco flavors. Although I smoked menthol for 25+ years I find I like some of the plain tobacco flavors along with some of the menthol flavors. Since you didn't mention your brand of PV you may need to get an adapter. They make 510-> KR808D-1 and 901->KR808D-1 adapters and cost less than 10 bucks, less than 5 at some places.

Wordupecigs has Kool on his juice menu. He has more tobacco flavors than anyone I have seen. They also carry sample sizes so you could try a few of his menthols.

Well got my Kool flavor in........also i took 1 drag of a kool the other night for the first time since vaping and it was very diffrent than i remembered the first part of the drag was menthol then changed to a burnt coffee taste then leveled out to a sort of nutty flavor.....which by the way wasnt all that great. As far as the Kool juice from wordup I think it taste like it but better (doesnt have that burnt coffee taste). I would recommend it if you smoke kools......you will get over craving the exact flavor trust me lol

No. From Halo you would want the Truepure.

Well lets see, I smoked my first Kool when I was around 11 years old. Me and my older cousin would steal packs from our dads they were both Kool smokers. I really didn't pick up the habbit daily until I was around 14 or 15 by then I was hooked and smoked Kools for about the next 24 years or so. I switched to Roll Your Owns when the price got out of hand but when I was out and about I would grab a pack once in a while. It was always dissapointing. Here I was paying extra and it didn't taste as good as the RYO, not even close. I guess all the shopping for the best loose tobacco turned me into a cig snob. They then went and put the huge tax jump on the loose tobacco and just after that I read about the e-cigs. I have not had a cig since then. Although I never did find a Menthol flavor that was like I remembered a Kool I did find a few I liked pretty well. There apple and cola are great as well. It took about two and half weeks to get here but it was dirt cheap and well, I liked it enough that it's been gone for a while.
