Koopor Mini 2 - 80w TC device ( SMOK / Smoktech )

I see that there is a new Koopor Mini coming out, firstly as part of the 'Knight kit' (with tank, and a dragon emblem) and then as a stand alone mod.

I understand the issues that existed with the first version (unable to upgrade without sending it off) but it seems that this one is much improved, and it is now properly upgradable. It also now boasts the DNA200 style display that other smok products have (R-Steam and Quantum) and has the added advantage of being 24.5mm deep, so can accommodate a wider range of toppers.

I assume that the chip on this mod will be the same as the R-Steam chip that Daniel from DJLsb Vapes raved about. Is this a fair assumption? SMOK seem to be making some great products of late, both mods and tanks.

I had one delivered yesterday. Loving it, the mod itself is really nice and clean. Got the white version ( a dirt magnet I know lol) Haven't had any issues with it, just wondering if there is a certain type of coil for the wattage mode on it or if both coil's it came with are functional with both mode's? It came with a 0.4 fused clapton core coil that was pre-installed and a 0.6 fused clapton dual core coil. I believe I have the one that was in it originally. I'll have to look but I'm loving it. Would like a different tank or rdta on it though til they have a rba section for it since I'm just getting into building my own coils and stuff. Here's a pic of it with my other set-ups.

I think it looks really smart. But I think I will probably just get the mod, minus the tank and the 'dragon'. it has to be bare metal for me.

Daniel from DJLsb now has a review of this. Seems to be the same great board as in SMOK's other recent offerings.

Yea so far I haven't had any issues with the mod itself, I noticed there is a firmware upgrade but I'm iffy on doing it. I've never upgraded firmware on a mod before. Kinda new to me lol

From what they have on there site, the only improvement I see is no fire delay.

the fire delay was minimal anyway, right? and it's best to have a slight delay, if the fire button is also used to turn it on/off and also to navigate the menu....

Just received my knight kit this morning. Tried 3 different batteries and all I'm getting is a blank screen. The mod seems to be completely dead on arrival.

Just wanted to check I'm not missing something.

It sounds to me like its D.O.A, all I do is insert battery and do five clicks to turn it on.

I did manage to get it to fire, so looks like a screen issue. Now returned to the vendor. It's a pity as I really like the tank with the 1 ohm coils.
