i see on koopor's site there is an upgrade. i don't see just what is changed with the upgrade. anyone have some info?

Im also interested in seeing what the upgrade does with SS and if so what grade... also would like to know if the ones selling now will already have it installed....any info would be greatly appreciated !
There's been a lot of upset people (myself included) about the update procedure. According to what Koopor has posted on their FB page you need to use a device called a "Nuvoton Nu-Link" to do the update -- it's not a matter of just plugging in a USB cable like every other updatable mod. I don't know enough about programming to decipher the instructions. Koopor also stated on their FB page that users could return the Mini to their dealer for updating. Neither option is appealing for me.

i just looked. It is totally ridiculous. They may as well not bother with FW updates if this crap is all they can come up with..smok ride again...why cant they ever seem to get it right?!?!? ever?!?!? This is a company that has an iphone app to control their other mods and they spew this garbage out for the koopor...what a total joke...I really think the koopor is the last smok device i will ever torture myself with....
apparently the SS mode doesnt work after the upgrade - kicks back ito VW mode. So if, as they suggest, you send this back to the vendor to get it upgraded, you will hav to send it again to get the fixed version...total and complete madness here....
Wow -- that's even worse than I thought. If the update doesn't even work, all that effort for would be for nothing. It's a shame, since I like the Mini. It offers a good feature set for the price, and I really like the look and feel. But given their update issues, moving forward I'll be limiting my Smok purchases to their tanks and looking to other companies for devices.
to be honest, a single generic SS mode is a stupid idea anyway. There are some many different SS alloys around, all with different TCRs. The only way is to have a user defined TCR...It is therefore possible that the update is ok, but only for, say, SS316 or something.
