OMG, the Mall Kiosks are selling expensive crap and giving E-smoking a bad name. Kids can get their hands on anything they want, there are already candy flavored cigarettes, strawberry, chocolate, etc... Beedies, cigars, etc... I even still see the candy cigarettes in the candy store, the ones that blow out the fake puff of smoke - why haven't they taken those off the market yet? Someone should replace those mall Kiosks with Joye 510 suppliers, WTF, look how they are educating people. Soon people will be looking at me as if I am a sucker for buying into this E-cig fad, when in fact - I got a 510 and it's awesome.

Nicotine liquid will probably be regulated, banned, who knows... maybe instead of a pack of cig carts, how about little capsules ( worth 1 filling ) so that someone doesn't accidentally drink it or add too much when refilling. In any case, it may get expensive and ridiculous, I'm stocking up.

Well at least the guy likes that old ecig that is sold for 80 dollars cheaper else where....again smoke everywhere needs to get there prices down or at least offer different stuff that they can buy cheap and add to the kit....like i dont know 80 bucks worth of ejuice.....and at least the reporter said at the end that many e-smokers love the e-cigarette and hope that the banning doesnt happen.....so the video wasnt all that bad....seen a lot worse.

It's nice that there is a forum with so many suppliers giving great prices, but that's not possible to do when you are trying to grow a business, and an industry, give people jobs and gain public awareness for a new product.

Sure it would be nice to be able to sell ecig kits for 50 bucks at the mall, but it's just not possible.

You have rent, employees, business insurance, mall insurance, BP (break point, yes the malls take even more of your profit after you earn X percent, which isnt that high), creating retail fliers and signs, other marketing material like business cards, retail equipment like acrylic displays and locks, canopies if needed, kiosk rental itself (this is addition to mall rent), payroll costs to pay employees, the list goes on and on.

Sure 1 guy could get a booth, import ecigs himself, and sell at 1 location, rather then from his house on the forum, but it would likely end there and not grow if he was selling at the online price that comes with none of the overhead and more that i didn't mention.

I'm not saying anyone is right to charge 200.00 for a kit, but what i'm saying is it is unrealistic to expect products at retail to cost the same as they do online.

Eventually they will, though, but not until more companies break into the retail space to make it more competitive.

Happy 4th :)

This is very true..........They are doing tons of advertising for all of us and eventually will lose all their repeat business to cheaper suppliers. Right now they are fighting the big battle in court too. All in all they are doing everyone a big favor.(aside from making certain claims)

oh by the way happy 4th. I know they are working to help the E-cig populous but they still need to stop making health claims period. That's what got us in this mess in the first place.....I mean if cheerios can get under the radar for stating it can lower cholesterol. I mean it was proven that whole weats and grain can lower it but The FDA and there BS,,,,,, Just simply say no smoke, no lighter, no tar, just vapor.....something like that. Dont say the word healthier.......

Cheerios got pegged because they said that the cereal DOES lower cholesterol. If they'd said it CAN lower cholesterol, they would never have been crosswise with the FDA. Same deal with PVs. Calling them "Healthy" is a problem. Calling them "healthier" is not a problem. SE screwed up because they made absolute statements, not qualified ones.

I completely agree. They are going about it all wrong with the claims... I and I have no idea why. The ecigarette is truly amazing and doesn't need health claims or quit smoking claims to sell.

I'm was just speaking to the price point.

Heck, if you want my real opinion, ecigs should be free. They should be purchased then given to us by the cigarette manufactures, and as "alternative", which is what they are, for selling us poison all these years.

They should be free and everyone that smokes should:
A) know they exist (i'm willing to gamble less then 1% of smokers still know these exist)
B) advertise them to their customer (each cig pack should come with a card "did you know, there is an alternative to breathing in carcinogens and tar?"
C) give them to us for free to try

In a perfect world maybe.

For now, we all need to do our part to raise awareness and also accept that companies that do go to malls, or retail, will have to charge higher prices. It's not to fatten the wallet, it is to continually grow the industry.

It's the price to pay for the end goal, which in the end means that everyone should at least know ecigs exist, and be able to make their own decision on whether or not to use them.

I know they are now starting to make a huge impact. Im seeing them around....but the kiosk has made more problems though. People ask me my ecig looks different than one I got at the KIOSk. They asked how much I paid for mine and there Jaws drop. And most who had one Ive talked to still smoke b/c there ecig sucks. I showed them mine and they were shocked by the 510 vapor production and the ease of draw. Simply put they asked where I got mine and told them at least 4-5 sights to go not including the e-cig-forum. I dont say anything unless people ask.

well check out the FDA claims that SE have done.....check the reports.....SE screwed up bying they are healthier than cigarettes.....thats making a health claim reguardless...

They didn't say "healthier." If they did, they might not have gotten into so much trouble. They said "healthy" as in "the healthy alternative to smoking." It's the fact that they framed it as an absolute that caused the problems.

This reminds me of Airsoft Guns.

About 3-4 years ago I got into Airsoft. I bought one at a Mall. Found out it was junk and bought a good one online. The Airsoft guns in the malls and even Walmurt are crap and kinda give Airsoft a bad name. People in the know have awesome guns that cost alot. There was a lot of talk about Airsoft being banned cause it looked so scary and we thought walmurt guns would ban it quicker. At games we don't want a lot of newbies with cheap guns who aren't into the game. So cheap crap at walmurt makes everyone think the entire airsoft sport is a joke and that is fine.

My point if everyone got a e cig and tried to vape it everywhere people would not like it. There is a slight smell and nobody would want there kid near some unknown Chineese vapor. So if the mall e cig is seen just as a joke, useless, fad then maybe they will just fade away and no one will care what we are doing.

Early morning rambling, may not make complete sense, but I'm sure there is point in there somewhere.
