I received blank KR 808 cartomizers from Eastmall today.

I tried to take the top off, so I can fill the cartomizer.

The white plastic top is glued so tight, that it breaks when trying to take it off.
I fill the cartomizer from the bottom, but like the top open, so I can see when the cartomizer has enough liquid.

I did get the top off, but it broke, and the inside is still glued to the cartomizer.
I can't fit an other white top in it now, because of the left over rim.

What do I do now?

I've used cartomizers for over a year now, and never had this problem before.

Thanks!

I have no idea what is going on,

I use these all the time,

I use a needle nose tweezer to flip the white top cap and inner see thru one out-

I dunno what is going on there-

they should not
and never have been gued in -

try heating the top part of the carto with a lighter and scrape the residue out -

is all I can suggest -----

Hi emberl,

I've been vaping kr808s exclusively for about eight months and buy the cartos from many different suppliers. (Just received an EM shipment this morning!) I use a small screwdriver to pop out the hard plastic caps and o-rings and throw them away immediately. It doesn't matter if there are small plastic edges left from the hard caps. Then, I take the small silicone(?) condom that was on the carto (the one without the little "spindle" in it) and squeeze it between thumb and forefinger and, with scissors, snip a little hole in the end. Place it on the open end of the carto. It makes a great soft mouthpiece for the carto and removes easily for refilling.

I hope this suggestion is helpful.

Yes, this is very helpful,

I do the same cannibal job on it,

then jam a 901 whistletip in there --

it works great -

I bought cartos in the most recent EM co-op over in PIF and they were all glued in hard as well :( Disappointing as I like to bottom fill as well in order to watch the filler to make sure it is sufficiently moist. Already burnt one :(

Yes, I got mine also in the most recent EM co-op.
It must be a bad batch.
The cotton inside looks totally different than other cartomizers I have bought from different places.

The other thing that's missing from all of them is the clear plastic cap.
I don't know what's going on, but it's very disappointing.

Jim, I tried what you suggested, but all I taste is plastic.
Thanks anyway.

Take a hair dryer and heat the end of em for about 30 seconds turning them at the same time, this will breakdown the glue enough to pop that top cap right off very easy. There are manufacturers using newer stuffing inside cartos today as well that is supposed to be better than the old stuff. Also use an EM Dripping tip in those cartos and you can keep em wet always and it makes for the perfect carto situation with a dripping tip! Just my $0.02

The ones I got were glued in as well.

I messed the first one up perdy bad, but found if I took a pair of pliers and gently squeezed around the edge of the rim it will break away the glue and you can pop the entire white piece out. Don't squeeze too hard and go around the top until you quit hearing the glue breaking. I used the smooth area of some needle nose pliers to avoid marring the finish too bad. There is still some residue of the glue left behind. Back to the finish, it's just a black sticker, so heating them to release the glue could be a pain.

First cartos I've ever had and thought something was up with these as the vids I watched before trying them just showed the caps pop out relatively easy.

Thank you!
That worked like a charm.
I left the plastic cover on while I used the pliers, so there are no marks left.
It was a little bit of work, but I got all the plastic covers off.

The cartomizers themself are excellent.

Wow...who is in charge of quality control at Eastmall? "How stupid" a blank carto you can't pop the white tip off to fill?
Just received my order of "BLANK CARTOS" that i need to fill, but as mentioned above, the white tips are glued in.
"HUH" You can blindly fill them with the condom method, but want to "top them off"....the white tip is glued in, can't take it out without a lot of work, or messing up the carto end. Does anybody at "EASTMALL" understand...."THESE ARE BLANK CARTO'S....YOU NEED ACCESS TO FILL THESE!!!!!!!! Everybody else can be nonchalant about it and jump through all of Eastmalls hoops just to fill a "BLANK CARTO".....But...once again, being a user of cartos....YOU SHOULD HAVE....OR NEED TO HAVE.... ACCESS THROUGH THE WHITE TIP TO FILL A BLANK CARTO....... Wake up Eastmall!!!!!!!!!!
Is your reasoning that its a "one time fill" and we will use more of your cartos, whice inturn you can make tons more money? I've never bought a carto that had a "glued non-removable" white tip....untill i bought from Eastmall.......you've got my money....lets see if you get it again.

OK, well obviously these are different to what we normally get --

there are differences --

but it is the way these come to us from the factory-

we do not make these ourselves.

I have asked David to check why it is different-

the reason is this-------

we have before only had the soft tip ones--

this last batch was the hard tip kind------

the soft tip kind - the endcap pops off easily-

the hard tip kind it is glued in---

so there is the answer right there--

this last batch was hard tip kind--

so there is nothing wrong with them--

it is just that they are not what we usually got before-

and now we will try to be certain to get
only the soft tip ones in the future.

I have to say thank you to the members who have come here to explain how to help to get your ends off on these
hard tip ones ------

and be assured in the future ---
we will try to have only the soft tip ones,

from now on ----------
we will post it clearly on the shop---
if they are the hard tip ones, or the soft tip ones.

ok, metalrain

first we do not make these so quality control is not on us.

we have never sold these hard tips before,
so we did not know of the glued in end-

I do not know what the problem is filling with a few drops into the battery end as was always the recommended way
or with a needle thru the hole in the top cap --
this is how they are sposed to be filled.
It is only since you clever guys out there discovered new ways
that
the condom method was invented.

these are sold as---

Disposable - this is -- use once and throw away=

they are not -- and never were ---
designed or manufactured to be refilled at all,
they are a fill - use - and chuck - item.

so yes, they are sold as -- a "one time fill" -----

it is only cos people like you and me -- and many others
are not wanting to throw it away when it is empty
and the coil will still working, - and so some clever
people out there found a way to refill these cartomizers-
now everyone wants to refill and reuse them all the time-

and just for your information --
eastmall does not make a ton of money on your purchases-

we sell them too low priced to you
to be making a ton of anyones money .

and my answer to your comment --

see if we get your money again ????????

there is nothing wrong with the product --

it is as it was described -
here is the description from the shop------

DPV9 cartomizer -

DPV9 Empty Black Disposable Capsules (Atomisers with empty cart) Fill with your favorite e-liquid in any strength you choose. Each capsule will hold approx 1.1ml of e-liquid and last approx 3-4 hours.

Easy to fill & top-up by simply dripping into the atomiser connector end with approx 21-22 drops initially (or until e-liquid starts to drip from mouthpiece end) and approx 12 drops every few hours

We recommend refilling whilst holding capsule over a small disposable cloth and not covering the mouthpiece while refilling to allow the e-liquid to be drawn in. Simply pat the connector and mouthpiece ends dry with cloth after refilling to remove any external liquid.

NOTE: Please avoid allowing the cart filler to dry out during usage. When this occurs, a burnt taste will indicate that it is time to dispose of the capsule.

says nothing about hard or soft tips or pop off end caps -----

I am very sorry if you are dissapointed with your purchase

I apologize on behalf of all of the Eastmall Team.

Your right...its all on the end user to make sure you ask all the right questions before purchase. In a year of using cartos, i've never bought any that were like this.

"first we do not make these so quality control is not on us"

Excellent way to dump responsibility to someone else...so you just sell what the supplier sends you? Defective or not, who cares...ITS NOT OUR FAULT....that makes me feel better.

Disposable - this is -- use once and throw away

You better figure out how the end user "uses BLANK CARTOS" Your competition has....pre filled cartos might be a "use once throw away"....but not "BLANK CARTOS"...I will state once again....i've never bought a "BLANK CARTO" that the white tip was glued in making it vitually imposible to remove without doing damage to the carto....it takes more time to try and extract the white tip than the cartos worth.

we sell them too low priced to you
to be making a ton of anyones money

Is called "cost vs volume"....yes, we make no money on one carto...so if the average user can get 10 refills on one cart..."LETS GLUE THE END SO THE CART CANNOT BE REFILLED EASILY, AND CANNOT BE TOPPED OFF WITHOUT GREAT STRUGGLE" Instead of selling 10 cartos, we'll be selling a 100....people are dumb this way in america, they will buy our carts by the thousands....they have to because the instruction says..."one time use"

there is nothing wrong with the product --

Yes there is...havn't you read any of the post?
"THE ENDS ARE GLUED"

Clearly state on your site..."ENDS ARE GLUED" THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL YOU WILL FILL THIS CARTO THE CONVENTIONAL WAY AND STILL BE ABLE TO USE IT!!!!
WE ARE THE ONLY COMPANY ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH THAT SELLS "BLANK CARTOS" AND GLUES THE ENDS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATRONAGE.

and this one kills me....

"NOTE: Please avoid allowing the cart filler to dry out during usage"...

For me to avoid the cart filler drying out, i'd have to top it off....not the conventional way....pop the white top off, add a few drops...why? because the white tip is glued.
In one breath you tell me its a "one time use" fill it, use it, toss it....but then you go on to warn me not to "allow the cart filler to dry out" huh?
I have to let it dry out...i can't top it off, or refill it the conventional way...why? because you glued the ends in.

Di, don't get me wrong...i'm more ...... at myself than Eastmall because i didn't play 20 questions with Eastmall on the construction and proper use of a carto.

I bought alot of cartos in my last order on the assumption these were just plain everyday run-of-the-mill cartos...I "assumed" whice makes it my problem...not yours...I guess thats where the old saying comes from

"BUYER BEWARE"

Just didn't think i had to use that much caution while making a purchase from a company called Eastmall.

Don't bother responding....i'm done here...

All this about a little glue.

I did start off with KR808 cartomizers, and did remove the cap to fill them, but in the mean time, I got the 510’s and started to fill using the condom cover. I then found that the condom cover method is not half as messy as I thought it would be.

Not such a big issue. :D

I suppose if you are born unhappy, there is nothing much the rest of the world can do to fix it.

I am not doing all that again -

FYI -- Health cabin -- Joyetech --- andindustries --- ecigz --- vapeatron

etc etc -- all sells these hard tip ones -

I explained it to you
if you dont want to read it
thats too bad

you totally did not read what was written

they are not defective
they are made like that

they can be filled the conventional way -
that is by dripping into the battery end
this is the conventional way

and on top of all that

WE DID NOT GLUE THE NAFFING THINGS ANYWAY

and finally-
if you are that naffed off with them -- and us-

Please return them all, and I will Personally --
gladly make sure that you get a refund.

This issue has been discused before and the easy way to get the glued on tips off is to set the carto tip down in a little bit of boiling water for a couple of minute's and then pop it off like you normaly do, if there is glue left in the carto boil it some more and scrape it out with a knife. I'v got a few of the glued on tips from a different supplier and I really don't like them but you can get the tips off and not break everything, using this method. Good Luck.
