Got this the other day
Used it for about a day and a half on my Echo (3.7ish regulated). Absolutely LOVED it.
Now I'm getting the taste of scorched juice
Here's the thing. I've always had issues with horizontal coils (halo, kanger, etc) on unregulated 4.2ish 808s (e.g. V4L). They work great at first, in fact ideally, but juice starts to scorch really fast and the coil gets gunked rapidly. Within a day or so all I taste is scorched juice (not filler).
OTOH SR 808 horizontals live forever on my gen two 3.7ish batts
so it seems the SR 808 horizontals can't handle the 4.0-ish voltage range
is it then the case that LR 808s Mega horizontals can't handle the 3.7ish voltage range?
The latter actually ends up at a higher wattage, so it stands to reason that they cannot handle it. But I think I'm the only one having this issue so I don't know.
Is an autopsy the only way I'm gonna figure this out? lol
