Got this the other day

Used it for about a day and a half on my Echo (3.7ish regulated). Absolutely LOVED it.

Now I'm getting the taste of scorched juice

Here's the thing. I've always had issues with horizontal coils (halo, kanger, etc) on unregulated 4.2ish 808s (e.g. V4L). They work great at first, in fact ideally, but juice starts to scorch really fast and the coil gets gunked rapidly. Within a day or so all I taste is scorched juice (not filler).

OTOH SR 808 horizontals live forever on my gen two 3.7ish batts

so it seems the SR 808 horizontals can't handle the 4.0-ish voltage range

is it then the case that LR 808s Mega horizontals can't handle the 3.7ish voltage range?

The latter actually ends up at a higher wattage, so it stands to reason that they cannot handle it. But I think I'm the only one having this issue so I don't know.

Is an autopsy the only way I'm gonna figure this out? lol

I use the Mega 808s on my Buzz Pro and the last one lasted me almost 3 weeks at around 4.5 volts. I figure if I was paying for smokes at $8.00 a pack I'm saving money if I get a few days so the rest is gravy. The only reason I only got 3 weeks was my Mega Fusions showed up and I wanted one of them in my tank. I don't know how they work on 3.7 though. I have had them go bad in one day and I've had them last a month so I don't think there's a set time on when they go bad.

Every one has their own likes. That's the nice thing about Ikenvape, there's something for everyone. I know Switcher and Isaac both use 3.7 volt devices as do I occasionally and you got to get what works for you on it. Many people here love the I06 and for an atty it's the best I've used but I'm just not into all the fiddling that comes with using attys. All that dripping and cleaning this and that etc. I fill my tank and batteries and that's it until tomorrow.

For the record I thought your original post was very informative. Kudos my man.
