OK, here's the deal. I started on a 901 in the beginning of Feb. I was mixing juice from concentrate by the middle of Feb. and building mods by the beginning of March. I got curious about the difference between the 901 and 510 about a month ago and built a 6 volt 510 pipe mod and got some high resistance 510 attys. (meh...). A couple weeks ago I started wondering if cartomizers might solve the problem of filling carts while driving so I ordered a box of 510 cartos for the 510 mod. I'm not really diggin' the lack of flavor from the 510 setup so I did a little searching and discovered that the kr808d-1 was compatible with the DSE901 soo... my questions are, can I just slap a kr808d-1 carto on a 901 fitted mod and in doing so will I get the flavor of a 901 from a carto? I realize it's NOT a 901 atty but do you think it's closer in flavor delivery than a 510?
If Don answers, I just read a post where you described the 901 as delivering "bland" flavor. That is not my experience as compared to the 510. At least not with menthol.

Since the threads are the same, you can "just slap a kr808d-1 carto on a 901 fitted mod." In most cases, however, you'll get no draw and would need to use a 901-to-Kr8 adapter (such as is sold by NHaler). [An exception (there may be others) is the Provape-1, which I just won in a contest. One of the fitting options was "901 - Cartridge Compatible." I chose it rather than the "901" fitting to give me more options, although I'm using it primarily with a 901-to-801 adapter for my beloved penstyle atty.]

But the flavor is no more 901-like than if you had used a 510 or 801 atty with appropriate adapter. Every atomizer has its own unique attributes including flavor. The Kr8 cartomizer is no different. Actually, I find it to be especially unique (not better, but definitely different). I've not tried the 510 cartos so I can't comment on how they compare.

I have come to regret that statement about 901 blandness. In the brief time since that post, I have come to appreciate the 901 atty (and am puffing on it now as I type this). I really hadn't given it enough of a chance in the past. I'm using the 901 atty on Kr8 batteries (no adapter needed), which pack more punch than any other skinny (i.e., non-mod) battery. And when all components (including drip tip) are stainless steel, it looks neat! I call it the DaBoomMod™;) – kind of a poor man's Precise (emphasis on the "kind of").
