I apologize if for some reason I have posted this in the wrong place or am asking questions that have already been answered.

I just bought the KR808D-1. I got it from Puresmoker.com, not that necessarily matters. My first question is, how many drops of liquid does it take to fill a brand new blank cartomizer for this model, and how long should I leave a newly filled one before using it?

I have been trying to use Johnson Creek's Red Oak Domestic (high-18mg), but even after 24 hours I am not getting any really good vapor. At least not like what I got from the pre-filled "Atomz" from Puresmoker.

Are there any instructions, tips, etc. I should know about?

Thank you in advance to anyone who helps me out with these issues or offers any advice!

Don't be sorry! This is the newbie section, that's what it's here for.

A new cartomizer should take about 20 drops of liquid. Take a blank one, and hold it up to the light with the mouthpiece end facing you. You should be able to see light coming through it.

And after you fill it, you should still see light coming through it. If you don't, or it looks like there's a layer of liquid in the way, you may have overfilled. Put the mouthpiece end in your mouth, and blow through the bottom into a tissue a bit. Give it a shake, and look again. Continue until you can see through it.

If you can see through it, there's nothing wrong with your filling. I don't wait to vape after I've filled.

If there's still not very good vapor, the next thing to try is another cartomizer. Not all cartomizers are created equal. This is a general truth about all things e-cig related, unfortunately. Duds and poor-performers just happen sometimes.

Failing that, it may be, well... the juice. A lot of people like Johnson's Creek, but I also had a hard time getting good vapor out of it. That may just be me.

There are many videos on You Tube that, I think, will answer your questions better than words. Look for Leaford's condom method. Here is a link. YouTube - filling a cartomizer . Best of luck.

MistressNomad, we posted at the same time. You had not posted when I wrote this one. Don't want it to sound contradictory or snotty.

JasonW do check out MistressNomad's videos stickied at the top of the New Member's forum, they are great.

Pah! You're allowed to suggest something different, you know. :)

You're right, seeing is believing. Unfortunately I did my carto filling demo with a totally used up carto, lol.

Ok, so you're referring to the little tube in the center of the cartomizer, right? If I can see thru that, all is good? I assume that if liquid gets into that tube it can probably ruin a battery as well, right?
