So, I have my KR808 in the mail to me...and then I am reading that people here suggest I better get mega cartomizers for the thing...and also mega battery!!!

Well...why in hell did I just bought a starter kit if am I going to replace battery with mega one (comes with the charger) and cartomizer which makes KR 808 in the first place????

You don't necessarily need to upgrade anything. When you get your new KR8 try it out for a while. You'll figure out soon enough if it works for you. A mega battery will give you longer between charges but you'll know after using it a while if you need to upgrade. As far as the mega carto's, just wait until you need new ones and maybe get the megas along with a box of regulars just to try them out.
Give your new rig a test drive before you change anything. If you don't you won't know what you need.

The normal size KR8 battery is a very good battery. And if you ever decide you want an even longer lasting battery you can get an xl battery and use it with the same cartomizers. And nothing lasts forever - cartomizers are considered disposable though you can reuse them for a while. batteries typically have a life of 150-300 recharges.

Hubby and I both started with the stock KR808. He's still using them most of the time and it's been 2 months. I'm home during the day so I tend to vape more, thus a longer between recharge battery suited me better and I got a different kit later. While I prefer dripping 95% of the time while he prefers the carts (and uses the size you no doubt have). We both quit on the KR808 kits. I like them for starter kits because they feel like a cigarette so it's comforting and familiar. I think you made a good choice. A word of caution, check your battery and see if it has a hole leading to it - the automatics do and some of the manuals do. No problem with this, except be sure to not let liquids get into that battery by overfilling your carts or being careless. As I said, his batteries are going strong - I was more careless.
