Hi,
I'm new to vaping and to this forum, been vaping for a little over 1 week. This may sound like a stupid question, but I have the Joye 510 and I wanted to try the cartomizers with it. Can you please explain how I would be able to use cartomizers with the Joye 510? And what extra parts (specifically) would I need to order to do this? Any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

I believe that kr808's use the same threads as 901s, and that you could therefore use a 510-901 (510 battery to 901 atty) thread adapter from shawn. They're under "Accessories", and you'll need to select the right one from the drop down menu.

Don't take my word on the thread compatibility of 901/808 however, I don't own either model and this is right off the top of my head (with the barest of confirmation from the wiki). That will hopefully be a lead for you to follow, however

I did do a little additional searching here, and it looks like there is some potential problem with airflow from certain types of adaptors. I honestly don't know if shawn's work with the cartomizers without modification. I think you could adapt with a dremel or even a metal file if you have one, however.

I use one of Shawn's 801 to 901 adaptors for cartomizer use on 801 type devices/fittings.. out of the box it wouldn't work due to no airflow, which I expected. I simply drilled a small hole in the side of the adaptor, close to the battery threads and all is well, perfect airflow.

I made the hole the same size as the hole in the side of a DSE-901 atomizer (can't remember the exact size) and also in about the same position.

I'm assuming the same would need to be done with his 510 to 901 adaptors.

To add insult to injury, things are likely backlogged a bit because of Chinese holiday. Add to that long ship times from China and it may unfortunately be a little while before he has more in.
