hello,
i am new to the website and just purchased the nebula starter kit from vapornine and am very pleased. I do have a few questions. 1) how do i know when it is done charging both the led on the battery itself is on while its charging and the light on the charger is on also, after a couple hours the led on the battery shuts off i dont know if that means its done or not. 2) do all 808 carts from different companies fit on my battery and if they do what kind do you suggest? i like menthol. and 3) when i take a drag after about 5 seconds the led flashes what does that mean?

The light on the AC to USB means nothing other than it is plugged into AC. The light on the piece you screw the battery into should turn solid blue or solid green when the battery is charged. But some when partially charged will almost seem solid blue or green but will occasionally do a quick flash of red - that means it is still charging. Rarely the end LED of the battery will indicate charge status. In any case, after 2 or 3 hours it should be done.

I did not care for nebula cartos when I tried them a while ago - they were not slotted across the carto's center post on the threaded end and I did not get good airflow on my KR8's. I recommend Bloogplanet or SmokelessImage cartos, and Halocigs might be the same - nicely made absorbent horizontal coil (stays fairly cool on lips). I also use V4L WOW cartos and my 2 favorite juices for cartos are WOW juices from there (plus they have excellent sales, occasionally as high as 38 or even 42% off, so sign up to get sale notices). I also prefer their batteries with them 10+ second safety cutoff especially since I only use manuals and want to press the button in 1-2 seconds early so nice vapor is waiting when I start dragging). Note about WOW cartos - they can get hot on the lips so I use a plastic or delrin drip tip in place of the endcap as a cool mouthpiece (which is how many use all stuffing cartos - easier to pull out to check stuffing or add juice with carto off battery). The manufacturer brand Kanger Horizontal Coil 2.6ohm KR808D-1 cartos should also be good. Slim ecigs use standard resistance stuff 2.5 to 3 ohms and 2.5 is the hotter end of that range. All of the above cartos are at or near 2.5ohms.

Those are the main cartos I recommend for KR808D-1. Those are all nice soft-cap cartos and with thin clear juices I can get 7 days or more use out of each (about 20ml run through) and for me that is about 2 weeks use since I alternate 2 cartos running about 20ml through each before I feel I could use new ones. I only use thin clear juices to get the best carto life. Dark/opaque/cloudy juices often drop flavoring sediment and that will clog up cartos quickly.

thank you for the suggestion on the carts, i have plugged the battery in a couple times and the light never turns a different color it always stays red im confused on how to tell when its completely charged. how long would you say i should charge it for

also will those different brands fit on my battery?

Hi drinkhaterade69. Welcome to ECF I can only comment on how my chargers work. I have 2 - one for an Echo and one for a KGO. On one, the light on the part you screw the battery into changes from red to green when the battery is done. On the other one it is always lit and the light on the end of the battery goes out when the battery is done. Hope this helps.

You can use any KR808D-1 cartomizer on your battery from any source. I don't know if there are low-resistance KR808 cartomizers, but you can't use LR on your battery. You need to have a big battery model for that.
