I am new to vaping, approx 1 month. I have been using KR808D1's and I like them. I recently received an RN4081 and it seems to give a much better "hit". Is this the case or is it all in my head?

There could be several things that lead to that perseption.
Are the 808s regulated? If the 808 is regulated at say 3.5 volts, and the 4081s come off the charger at 4.1 volt, the 4081 will "hit" better, if other factors are equal.
The 4081 are you useing atamizer or cartomizer? Cartomizers are easier to work with (at least to some people) but atomizers tend to work a little better, agien with other factors equal.
Ohms can play a part also. Lets say your 808 has a carto 3.0 ohm (v4l has some at 3.2 ohms IIRC) and the 4081 has a 2.6 ohm carto/atty, the lower ohm would work better.
Basically, it may not be all in your head. Thene agien, who am I to say
