Kraken question/problem

I hope I'm doing this correctly. I am fairly new to rebuildables. I have a recent problem with my e cig. I am running a stingray mod with a kraken atomizer. In the past day my kraken seems to be hitting very harshly and getting hot very quickly. I've rebuilt my coils just like always and have a fresh battery but after about 2nd hit it gets really hot and harsh. My button/magnet has gotten extremely easy to push as well. I have to make sure the "safety is on" anytime I set it down. Could that have anything to do with my problem? Hope I have participated in this thread in the correct form. Thanks in advance for any advice.
