I have cousins in Creve Couer St. Louis that I need to visit. Think I'll wait until fall!
James, I am loving the Krimson Kustom.

Very well made, and the battery charge lasts forever even with a dual coil tank or a Vivi Nova tank.

The only issue is that the 510 connection seems a little too short - I have had tanks fall out. Other than that it is absolutely a work of art. I LOVE the magnets on the door!

It was definitely not cool. I think it was 98 - 102 most of the time but that's just kinda how it had to be, school starts again Monday so I wouldn't have been able to go any other time. Had a great time though, did just about everything to do in St. Louis, which is surprisingly quite a bit to cram into a trip.

Sandy, I'm happy you are enjoying the mod, I sent you a PM about seeing what's going on with the tank that won't fit.

Pharein, happy that the mod not only made it to you but that you are really enjoying it as well. As for getting one a while ago, many people have some common misconceptions with mods about quality and such because of poor craftsmanship that's been put out along the way, it's not just you who is hesitant.

Yeah I will probably keep it to a slower pace, I have a few on the desk I'm working on, one's a special mod out of a tin I've been working with that's coming along which I think you guys might like.

I've had a few people actually ask me how I make them like I do compared to others and I always tell them the same thing, I'm really picky and spend a lot of time on each mod, several hours on even the smallest one I make because I hate a lot of the sloppy stuff people do to mods and it just irks me.

Been a long couple of weeks, went on vacation and came back to a whole storm of stuff with school and financial aid being messed with but I finally got everything figured out and got back to modding night before last.

Got the 2 14500 evercools done: Black on Black 14500 Evercool

I'll have more in the coming days depending on school.

How is everyone else doing?

The door does slide on, it has the normal snap in place door most battery cases have. I don't normally put magnets in the little 14500 boxes but I can if that's requested.

Funny thing about the Varicool's is that I've actually had a couple sent to me for repair! It's a very interesting way they do stuff but I still have issues with folks that use hot glue as a way to attach things, it's just no where near strong enough especially with the connection that gets hot...and melts the glue over and over. I'm not ripping on their mods at all, just slightly different way of doing things than I do them. (Sorry if any Varicool owners took offense)

Guess what, James? That's exactly what happened to two of my Varicools. I .... fired them, the glue got hot and trashed the mods.

What I LOVE about Krimsons is the magnets. The slide on door clips break off if you drop the mod. Well, if I drop them, anyway.

The site's down. It's probably because, after 3 days of making myself and everyone else crazy, I was heading there to order while the 14500 Evercool is still on sale.

Questions: Are the white and translucent cases as crack-resistant as the black one? (I am a klutz.)
It's VV so that means IMR batteries (I learn slowly, but I do learn). Flat-top, nipple-top or doesn't matter?

Thanks.

ETA: Website working again.

Well hello ladies and gents. I have just awesome news, apparently I figured out the very best way to pinch your sciatica(spelling?) and make it nearly impossible to walk or situp!

So Monday afternoon at work, I work with weighty stuff but nothing over like 40 lbs. Never a problem because I'm a good sized fella. However if your trying to put something in through a car window to take it somewhere instead of opening the door it will put just the right amount of arch and pressure on your back to make it do a crunch noise and put you to a knee! I was so happy to find this out, you just learn new things everyday!

I got back up and felt sore but seemed to be fine so I went about my day(apparently a very bad idea) and by Monday night the deal was done, had to take some ibuprofen(truly wish I had better at the time) just to get from the couch to bed and that's where things got to be good times. Had an awful night of waking up to shocks of pain running through my back and legs and in the morning could not sit up. Made some calls and got my brother to half carry me to the car and went to the doctor and then got sent to a chiropractor and that man did awful/wonderful things to my back but apparently he wasn't strong enough to get my lower back fixed up because it was knotted up and tight. Got sent home with some muscle relaxers and went back Weds.

Weds morning same scenario and I finally got it back in place. Never have I been so elated to only be in terrible pain but able to move. Went home with strict information that I wasn't allowed to sit, hunch over(modding), or even walk/stand for more than a few mins. So I've spent the last 48 hours happily watching minutes go by not being able to do anything and today I finally feel like a human being.(BTW, when did TV become so horrifyingly bad?) I'm able to walk and sit and everything but I still have a dull running pain that runs down my leg and yada yada. He said it should go away and I need to really watch what I do until the nerve is back in place and all the muscles are good again.

Isn't that just the coolest story ever? I figured you guys would enjoy knowing why on earth I have been no where to be found lately, that would be it. Great news is there is no lasting damage and it's just a very well taught lesson of how not to be a dumbass.

I will extend the sale on the 14500's for a couple of days for the issue with the site. I will however have to say up front that my modding will be almost non-existent for a week or so until everything is good again. Trust me, I'm not extremely happy about it either but I've been told this is no little thing and it's not to be screwed with so I'm listening.

I will be getting a few emails out to those who've emailed me and I will try to keep up with correspondence but please rest assured I will take care of everyone who is in line.
