James or anyone that uses the double 18650 batteries in one of James's mods,

Can you fit the 3000mah version of the 18650's in it? Like these:

TrustFire Protected 18650 Battery, 3000mAh

Thank you! My 2400 mahs fit and madvapes says the 2400 and 3000 mah are both 68 mm long. I'm skeptical so I thought I'd ask here.

Thanks James:)

Can you folks that use Jame's VV mods tell me what atty you use on them? I seem to be having an atty identity crisis lately. Tell me what brand you use and how long they last for you before you retire them:)

Thanks,
Lori

First of all, I think James' 18650 mods are fantastic and hands down are my favorite! They are so much easier to hold and feel so much lighter than the 18650 tube mods.

My4Jewels told me to use Panasonic batteries in James' mods, so that is what I use. The charge lasts forever!

I like Vivi Nova tanks on the Krimson Kustoms.

Ok so I got an email on my secondary email about my plan with my website that all my email goes through and they charged me but I guess all the stuff was screwed up.

About thirty minutes ago I received a little over a hundred emails from the last couple weeks of stuff I guess I haven't been getting. All of the correspondence about mod shipments and such haven't been going out either. If you have not received an email about shipped items and have an order in please email me.

I just placed an order for an 18650 Evercool Bottomfeeder w/ Display on your website James (order #O-39). I had requested a red (translucent) case, no led, black #3 drip cup, black 6 amp button. I was wandering what the 6 amp button looks like, do you have any pics of it you can post for me before you start the build? Also, on your web site there's no option for the silver metal button, do you still have that option?

Hey James I have a question, what is the power draw limit (like in Amps and Watts) on your 18650 Evercool mod? Do you think it can handle 6 Amps or higher load? Also if it is over loaded will it protect it self or will something burn out and need fixed if overloaded? I'm just curious.

Thanks!

All of my regulators are switching regulators built for 3 amps. Anything higher than that and the chip itself will shut off due to over amperage circuits in it. The chip itself will not be harmed. It's perfect for times when a low res atty gives out and loses more resistance and will overload some of the cheaper chips. Out of I think I'm at 300 mods now I've only ever had 2 chips burn out, one was due to juice and the other due to a potentiometer that shorted out. I've never had any chips stop working due to amperage issues. It also goes up to 18 watts.

I've had a lot of folks ask me why I don't use 6 amp chips constantly on all mods and it's pretty simple, in order to hit the 3 amp limiter you have to take a 1.3 ohm really low resistance atty to 5.5v+ to get there. That's gonna taste freaking awful because I've done it, I'm 100% sure that people who like the taste of their juice will always stay in the 1.5 - 2.0 amp range so it's never been a problem.

Agreed jewels! Note black Little Man (#1) center stage. Well over a year old and still going strong even with all the abuse it's suffered in my hands. The Flip and clear Little Man on either side of it are also still performing like new. This was a family portrait for my second vapaversary. Hey James, think you could fit a DNA20D in a 3xAA box?

Yeah I was asked by another person about the DNA 20D that Evolv put out. It's a cool looking little gig, doesn't look to be much longer than 2" and about .75" wide. I don't have exact size specs but I probably could get it into a 3xAA case, the one thing that seems to be a bit in the way is the $50 price tag on the board itself, would up the price of the mod by a chunk.

I haven't done a lot of research on it, looks to be a single cell style regulator that's built for 18650 style batteries that put out enough amperage to run a unit. I don't know if it can take 2 14500's. I'll dig around and see if I can find some more info on it at some point.

Happy you guys still like the mods. I have slowed down quite a bit lately on modding. I fear at some point I'll become another has been :p even if it turns out that way it's been a hell of a run and I've gotten to make some pretty cool stuff for people.
