'Krispy Kreme Glazed Donut' recipe... anyone?

Anyone come across a recipe for the traditional "Krispy Kreme" glazed donut?

Or Cream Cheese?

I'm thinking of all these flavors I'd love to try, and not able to hunt up recipes for em! lol

I think I saw a glazed doughnut flavoring out there somewhere. I wish I could remember where. I know I have seen the premade liquid at velvet vapors.

Found it DIY Flavor Shack has donut flavoring. Capellas has choco glazed donut. I dont know what to use for the glazing though I would think just sweetener.

I'm thinking donut and sweetner, yes...but the glaze itself has a bit of a creamy kind of flavor to it...maybe adding just a touch of a creamy or non-diacetyl buttery flavor to fill it out in the middle?

Tried that and it was harsh but mixed with other flavors.......hmmmmm

I pass a Krispy Kreme Donut shop almost everyday...and everyday, I have to resist the urge to turn in and buy a dozen. That big beautiful red neon sign that has the most wonderful words ever "Hot Doughnuts Now!" /sigh... (I secretly think they keep that sign on all times.)


I would take a crack at this recipe in a heart beat but I have none of the flavors discussed at the moment. (I'm also on a self imposed Ecig spending freeze until for a little while.)

Try doughnut, french vanilla and sweetener..You could sub vanilla custard for the french vanilla..

WendallB, that sounds about right! And thinking the Vanilla Custard might be just the thing! I'm still pretty dang new at balancing flavors and whatnot, but I'll definitely grab the fixins' for this one and give it a whirl next time I'm picking up flavors.

BTW, Nyte... When I lived in Pittsburgh I used to pass one of those shoppes with the evil red sign... calling to me... calling to me. The siren song of the most fattening donut ever created. I miss those things!

they closed here in NY......(playing taps in my head)....was a sad sad day......

My closest one is about 30 minutes away, thank goodness, I'd be eating them constantly! Used to have one just 10 minutes from me, but it's one of the ones that closed.
