As one of those to reach the one year smoke-free milestone in 2017 I just wanted to congratulate my fellow grads. How many New Years resolutions actually are successful?!! In hindsight the time seems to have gone by rather quickly and the rough spots don’t seem like they were so bad now. I do know that without the help and support offered by so many ECF members it would have been far more difficult for me to make one month let alone one year smoke-free. Just wanted to say thanks to all who helped both directly and indirectly along the way. Answering questions, offering encouragement, sharing their general experiences and even those having problems of their own. May sound odd but I never had the feeling of going it alone and that made a huge difference.

Anyway, feeling confident that the days of inhaling cigarette smoke are firmly in the past. Am enjoying almost everything about vaping too much to go backwards. Perhaps someday this will get old but I kinda doubt that too. Meanwhile it’s great to be a part of the membership here and hopefully pay back some of the support I received. Cheers all!

Congratulations.

My daughter and I quit smoking, cold turkey, 11 years ago. The desire to smoke never left either of us. Five years ago, between cravings, stress and anxiety about moving across the country for my daughter's Doctorate in Audiology with my grandson, who has autism, we were THIS CLOSE to starting to smoke again. My daughter had heard somewhere about vaping. We researched it, tried a couple of disposables, and the rest is history. No more desire to smoke. We are still ex-smokers thanks to vaping and all the helpful people here at ECF. Once I discovered ECF via a link from the eliquid vendor that we were using, every single upgrade that we have made has been thanks to the advice and support that I received here.

Keep up the good work. Advocate for vaping as much as you are able. Point to sound scientific studies when you are confronted by skeptics. Share your story with friends and family who smoke. The general public needs to hear about the success stories of people who have quit smoking due to vaping. Make your voice heard.
