I fried a wire in my L-Rider Corolla and need help on how to get the fire button off. There is a thread in which a guy fixed his but being a new member, I'm not allowed to post a reply to his thread with a question. Does anyone know how to get the fire button off so that I can fix the wire?

Hi Ibocpro and RelativeBewt! Thanks for the welcomes.

I finally got the fire button off. The wire inside is tiny and short and there is no room to work with it. I suppose I'll have to solder a bridge piece of wire between the fire button and the wire inside the device. Should it be copper wire? I don't suppose 32ga kanthal would work..:) Just thinking out loud here until I get five forum posts. Then I will reach out the the other guy on these forums who had the same problem and managed to fix his. I'll try to get some help on details from him.

Thanks Scott. I don't see anyway to get inside the device (I'll have to work from the outside through the fire button hole) so I can't replace the whole piece of wire. I'll need to insert a short piece. I wonder if it is ok if the inserted piece is slightly larger than the other wire. I wonder if copper speaker wire would work...
