Ok, had to post this, just saw it on the webz for all the gummy bear lovers;

A designer dress that also satisfies our sweet tooth? Yes, please. This latest Alexander McQueen-inspired gown combines two of our very favorite things: fashion and candy. Made out of 50,000 gummy bears, the rainbow dress was handmade for TWELV Magazine's debut issue and weighs in at a hefty 220 pounds. It takes three people just to move the thing, so this is clearly not a dress you can go out dancing in.

How exactly is a gummy bear dress made? First, steel wire is twisted to create the shape of the dress, then the mold is covered with a sheet of vinyl, and finally each gummy bear is painstakingly glued on in a chevron rainbow pattern. No surprise it took three weeks to finish this elaborate gown.

We're guessing it would take a lot of will power to wear this dress and not snack on it. After all, there are 50,000 gummy bears to choose from. Who's going to notice one or two missing?

I'm also thinking it would have been nice to use a model who looks like they've eaten a gummy bear or two, no? :laugh:

(you're right Vchick, it would be nice to have it be modeled by someone who didn't appear to be starving)
But they made the dress that size. If the model had eaten anything this year or were as "large" as a size 8, they would have needed more gummy bears. (And I'm being sarcastic about the "large." The modeling industry now considers size 10 a "plus size." As someone whose clothing size is a multiple of that, bah!)

it still looked a little big on her- they could have at least used some one who was a size 1.... :facepalm:

(the runway modeling industry wants walking clothes hangers, anything other than bones means that the designer gummies don't fit right... but none of us wants to get me started on this ..so I'll be quiet now)
