Recently I posted a picture on facebook of some shorts I made out of old tights. The reactions were interesting. The guys didn't seem to have a problem with it. But some of the women did. I really don't understand this.

Why is it viewed that if men wear tights they are somehow gay? Yet if women wear pants they are not lesbians? It feels like the lines are drawn closer for men. They keep shrinking out of fear that guys will be called gay with negative connotation. Why do I feel like this country is giving women more freedom and taking it away from men at the same time?

What do you think? Should guys have more liberty with how they dress? Is society as a whole narrow minded about menswear?

A woman can put on blue jeans, a flannel shirt, and hiking boots and go anywhere and everywhere with no one thinking twice about it.

But if a man, just once, runs to the store while wearing his blue chiffon . . .
I don't know, if I see a woman out in jeans, flannel and boots I think that's a pretty sad excuse for an outfit and I would like to bring her into my store for a total confidence building remodel.
On the other hand, the hottest guy I ever saw in my life was wearing a kilt.
Basically, if you feel great about yourself you can look great no matter what you're wearing, if you want to wear shorts made from tights you go on and rock it!

You got that right smaurajill,

I never knew how hot a guy could look in a skirt until I saw a guy with one on. I say whatever makes you happy and comfortable go for it.

really though, you do see some guys where tight shorts, like biking shorts and such, like when playing sports, not so much to run out to the store or get gas....

This one sounds like boxers, briefs, or boxer briefs? Whatever is most comfortable ... but not outside. Bike shorts are alright and they are great for working around the house, cutting grass, or whatever. At least there's nothing to get caught in moving parts. Baggy clothes and machinery have sent many people to the ER.

Just own it bro. Don't put on an outfit that you cant own but if you can own it then you will never hear .... from other people.

I know noone wants to talk about this but every straight man is a little homophobic whether we want to admit it or not.

For instance I was shopping at urban outfitters last week and it was filled with gay people. I felt a little uneasy. Anyway when I asked for a dressing room the guy who took me to it was wearing daisy duke blue cut off blue jeans he was fat and pasty. As I walked behind him to have him show me where the dressing rooms were I was like feeling so uncomfortable and I was making a gross face just a little bit and he turned around and saw it. I felt like .... after that. But that's nature. I have known a few gay people and some I thought were cool and some I thought were dumb but it had nothing to do with the sexuality.

I'm sure if you went to a gay bar in tights people wouldnt laugh at you.

See the point I am trying to make.

Watch this video and feel better.

Just curious... how were you able to tell they were gay?

I can honestly not tell if someone is gay all of the time but when they talk with a lisp and the way people dress sometimes. I can guess a little better because I have a gay reletive and he is cool as .... but whenever we hung out he would always tell me this or that guy is gay.

And I know what you were insinuating. Pathetic.
