The first song I heard that made me fall in love with Satriani was "Crying" I was working 6/12's night shift at a nuclear power plant, and on my way home at 6:30 one morning this song came on the radio. I literally had to pull over on the side of the road just so I could enjoy it without having to focus on the road! It was 1992 and this song had just been released.

That song (Joe Satriani's Cryin') is from the Extremist album! I remember, because I was earning my green beret in the Finnish border guards that year, and I bought that album while having my weekend vacation. I was 20 yrs old back then. Good times. Rough, but good times anyway

I kinda miss those times. To be exact, I don't miss being in special forces, going through rough situations all the time, being physically (and mentally) exhausted, but I do miss my friends who were there with me back then...

But life goes on, and that's the way it should be. I've met some of my "brothers in arms" afterwards, and we all are having different jobs and things nowadays. But I guess it's ok anyway
