I really wish I could post a video to show these picture don't tell the whole story.

Here's what I've been working on these last few weekends.

I did this paint job too, an experiment with pleasant results.
You can't tell from the photos how the lights pulse and rotate.

I called the first one "anti-gravity" because it has a powerful magnet in the base so I can stick it to the side of my desk, out of sight, and It it stays put. even upside-down under the desk. stealth is important at work.

here they are with my LT for a size comparison.

anti-grav uses a 3200 mAh flat lipo, the same kind you buy for remote control helecopters.
it also contains its own charger. when you remove the bottom cap all that is visible is the usb charging port.

Steam Boy uses 2x14500 round batts and bucks down the voltage with a turn of the little brass looking nob on the left side.

the shiny red one uses 3xAA 1.5V batteries that you buy everywhere. the top"barrel" is a 510 connector, and the bottom is a 3mw red laser diode.

well, I hadn't considered making more, but I can get parts to make 2 or 3 just like it.
the idea about having the 3 buttons produce different voltages isn't really feasible, but I can put a boost regulator in there to make it a VV mod, but that would double the part count and the cost of building it.

edit:

I was thinking just now, and I'll bet I could fit an 18650 in the original battery compartment easier than modifying the whole thing to use a big, not-user-changeable flatbatt.
I guess this would be a plus If I were to sell them.

Wow man, I really appreciate your whole style, from the approach your taking with your mods, and your steampunk, science-fantasy motif... Just great stuff.
I'm super interested in usb charging, micro/mini preferably, so any extra info you have on how you did it would be great, links to sources especially. I have a thread on usb charging here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...internal-usb-charging-best-safest-method.html

Keep up the great work, and thanks for sharing.

LOL :D Mass production is no-go.
I'm not here to make money, but I'll let the one I have go for what I've got in it.
Building these things is the fun part for me.
I buy parts,
build a mod,
take a few pictures,
use it till the battery dies,
recharge it,
and put it in the closet with the others.
I have about 10 mods I made that I've done this way. I'd prefer to make custom ones by request but I wont be able to do that on ECF. (rules and such)
