I personally think that one of the distributer should take the initiative to send some sample to be tested by sirim or whatever goverment agencies so that they can inspect and come out with an official report. Then, publish the report.. end of story.

After that, the government should be able to make up their mind to allow e-cig rather than an office blindly throwing baseless allegations.. Will save a lot of time and effort rather than keep quiet and wait for something to happen..

I heard here in Penang that if u get caught using e-cig, instead of the RM100 fine enforced on analog, u will be fined a hefty RM5k... erk..

what? better bring analog together, if saw kkm, light the analog, they wont cought u i think as they going to get a guy with e-cig for more fined. lol

My understanding is that nothing has changed. They're just applying the law to an existing classification of Nicotine as a poison and enforcing it. It was already illegal to sell e-liquid before, they just clarified that it was illegal.

Incidentally this is exactly the same as the situation in Australia where it is illegal to sell or distribute nicotine products. You can buy zero nicotine liquid locally, but they're not stopping users from ordering e-liquid abroad for personal use. If I buy it on the Internet for my own use that's ok. If and give some to a friend for free - that's distribution and becomes illegal.

If they ban e-liquid sales locally I can live with that, as long as they don't prohibit overseas purchases for personal use!
