Lava Tube top is moving

Started vaping 6 June with a Lava Tube. The "top" has started to move to one side. I can "reset" so that the Clearomiser sits straight. Another vaper told me his eventually broke off after many repairs so he went to a Provai V2.

Anyways I've been very careful with it and was wondering if anyone else has seen this problem and if they've received any support from their supplier.

Is it the 510 connection or the whole top? My connection on my LT has always been a bit cockeyed but about a month and a half ago I had the whole top try to come off at work. I've been carefully since. Either way, just be careful with it. The more it moves, the more it will move in the future. These things are not built to last so be sure to have a back up. I still use mine but it was only a stepping stone for me. All it did was tell me "5v is pretty dam good" and that was all I needed to hear. I still use it and it still could go through a catastrophic failure at any time, but it is only a bed side vape if all my batteries are asleep in their chargers.
Don't fix it if it ain't broken.

It's the 510 connector. Not happy about this at all.

It won't be a goat it'll be a bear if this things goes on me. I don't see any other option than to buy another device.

Hey Projectguy, send an email to the vendor you got it from & let them know whats going on with it. They may help you out

Ask your vendor if they can fix it for you if you are not comfortable doing it. Fixed or not I would probably make it a back up device. The newer versions with the metal caps are supposed to be a lot sturdier. You could try the ol' super glue trick.

Go for the Provari You probably won't get much satisfaction from the LT supplier.

I have a stainless LT (the really heavy one) and have dropped several times without problems.
The last time, I had a Vision Stone Tank and a stainless drip tip mounted and it fell about 3 feet tip first like a spear. Took a chip out of the floor tiles (slate) and a scratch or two on the tip. The battery moved within the tube and against the post so hard that the nipple of the battery was pressed into sort of concave top.
The top of my LT has not moved a fraction of a degree since I got it.

BTW, yeah, I tossed that damaged battery. They are cheap so why risk it...

I have a stainless steel LT and the whole top has now come loose enough that when it goes "cockeyed" if I wanted to ( and have tried it once to see ) if I snap it back and up I can take the whole top off.

HOWEVER, it started doing this because of ME. I forgot I had it in my back pocket coming from the smoking area, got side tracked working on something, and when I sat down, the cartomizer and top was pushed that way because of me sitting in my chair

I am just going to grab some locktite or gorilla glue and fix what I did.

I'm sure we are all aware that the LT is a cheaply made device. If you didn't know that...you do know.

Both the plastic top and bottom caps are press fit in place with the addition of glue. Also, the center 510 connection is press fit into the platic top cap.



Problem: My top caps came off.

Solution: Apply some some glue and press them back on.

Problem: My center connection is loose.

Solution: Use a ledge, your desk, or whatever and apply pressure to the connection to push it back into place. It should center itself. If it's still loose then apply some glue.

yes on my black one both the 510 conector comes off and the top cap , i do as beaver and press em back on , on my chrome LT i do not have this problem as its made alot better with a rounded end and ego conector instead of a topcap

Agreed on the back up It's been a magical 3 weeks so far....sniffle, I'm veclempt....vape amongst yourselves...

Can't wait until I get enough cereal box tops to get my Zenesis...

Go for the Provari You probably won't get much satisfaction from the LT supplier.

For an additional $20 I'd go Zenesis Standard but have no I deal where production is and it feels like it would be winning 6/49. So I guess it will be Provari.
