Lava Tube Went Red Hot ...

We had a lava tube type go red hot today. It was just sitting on the dresser, not being used. It had a fluxomizer on it.

I just wanted to state this for the record so that anybody out there knows to be very careful. I plan to never leave a battery in one or just chunk 'em and stick strictly to my Reo's.

I had that happen with my Ego's (lost two batteries) when using Bauway cartomizers. One of the cartos got so hot it melted the black outer layer all over the cone. I will never buy another Bauway carto again.

I am going to infer that this was a carto that went red hot...If the LT tube went that hot then the display and button would have melted and there would be no chance of reusing it.

I've had a couple of mods turn red hot and on both occasions the problem has been a short circuit in the atomizer (once with a boge and one with a genesis maxi) Luckily both were mechanical mods and no damage caused, but I was very quick to remove the batteries. I now never leave a battery in a mod when not in use.
