lavatube 2.5 and Kanger protank3

anyone else had this setup? any issues? Mine is a mess. The kanger fires every time on a standard ego 510 type battery, but if I screw it into the lavatube till it's snug (not tight just not rattling around) it reads 9.9 ohms and won't fire. If I leave it very loosely screwed in it sometimes fires. Are they just not compatible? Both said 510 connections. Very frustrating.

Do other tanks fire on the lava tube?
Did you try changing the coil in the pt3?
9.9 means the mod is not seeing the coil.

You can pull the little metal plug on the bottom of the ProTank head out a tiny bit to see if that helps it make contact with the LavaTube - be careful though because:

a) it may cause leaks if you pull it too far.

b) if you pull it out altogether you'll free the positive lead and may end up shorting out the head.

A better solution might be to get the new Kanger airflow control - it's around $5 I think and replaces the bottom of the ProTank 3 (basically turning it into an AeroTank) - the pin is flush on the airflow control and doesn't have a hole in it thus preventing any leaks onto your PV.

Rosenec - other tanks fit and fire fine, and the kanger fires fine on other 510 type batteries. It will fire on the lavatube if it's loosely screwed on.

This does sound very frustrating. They are compatible and should work together just fine. I would thy replacing the head in the protank. Might be a bad one or not installed correctly.

I was having similar issues. I purchased a lavatube and protank 3 two days ago and it worked like a dream until last night. I just changed the coil head and it is great again, but I read somewhere that the heads the protank comes with do not work as well as the 5 pack replacements. I am going to go buy some later today and hopefully they last. Good luck fixing your issue!

I have a lavatube and just got a Protank 2 today and it has zero airflow. If I screw it on just enough that it's not wobbling around the air holes plate covered. WTH? How do I fix that?

I am having the same issues with my LT 2.5 and Protanks 2 & 3 both with the airflow controller fitted. They both fire with my Evod 1000 passthru batteries and my wifes itaste batteries. did you manage to get the issue sorted? I appreciate any help you may give...
