Lavatube 2.5...right choice?

Status
Not open for further replies.
I am a longtime vapor and have enjoyed the info from this forum. I started with a 510 battery, quickly progressed to a 1300 mah ego battery and then to a VV/VW ego-type battery. After going through about 50 batteries dying on me I upgraded to a lavatube 2.5. It should arrive tomorrow. Please tell me I made the right choice. I would have gone with the Provari but just didn't have the money this time around.

Well, it's not the wrong choice, but I think forum's favorite non-high end e-cig is the MVP 2.0 now and some might feel it's overpriced...

I would get some spare batteries AW/Sony/Panasonic 18650...get a good charger, maybe an air flow controller atomizer (Nautilus) or 510 connector one....I have Lavatube 2.5, mine can have tight draw at times.

I will say this..excellent customer service....some how my 510 connection got push down or went bad...e-mail them about it..and within 24 hours, I have prepaid USPS slip ready. They ship my replacement within a week...

Pros:
1. Variable Voltage/Wattage
2. you can beat off mugger with it...it feels like those expensive flashlights
3. Built like a tank
4. Nice screen
5. Great Customer service...
6. Quality on tubing..you'll see what I'm talking about

Cons:
1. kinda pricey compared to others these days
2. only 510 connection, so won't work with Evods, CE4, ..you'll need an 510 to ego connection
3. Can't adjust 510 connection..

Would using a 510 to ego connector help the airflow at all?

Depends on your atomizer..but if you want to use Evods, etc..go get a decent one..probably under 4.00 shipped..if you can wait..get stainless steel one from Fasttech or one of these

Tank Airflow Controller

By the way..I don't know your level and confidence on building coils/cotton wicks..but I slapped on HCigar Kayfun 3.1 on it..crank it 11 watts...I was in vape heaven....I felt like Jedi knight with red lavatube

I have a Lavatube and it Works Fine.

It Isn't the Most Well Made PV Out there. But it Isn't the Most Expensive either.

All and All, I Don't think there is Anything wrong with one. Especially if a Person is on a Budget.

Exactly. I know it's not THE best, I just need something that isn't going to crap out after 2 weeks.

I'm not sure about building. I'm would, for sure, screw it up. I will probably get a connector and stick to my Kanger T3 BCC. It has worked well for me so far. I will definitely be getting an airflow controller.

You don't need air flow controller for T3...you need 510 to ego...and T3 has air holes...so you're good..

BTW..I swore I would never do the following/change my mind

1. upgrade my e-go/CE4
2. Vamo v3 was good enough
3. Lavatube 2.5 was good enough
4. Innokin VV/VW was good enough
5. MVP 2.0 was it
6. HCigar Kayfun 2.1
7. Russian 91%
8. I would never get mech mod, got two of them
9. TBA

Have an open mind...you'll go farther and enjoy it more

I will definitely keep an open mind. A lot of the hesitation is lack of knowledge. I am going to look into the MVP 2.0, it looks awesome! Next step is playing around with the carts.

The newest version? I can't seem to find much info on it to see how it's performing- seems like a total redesign from a couple years back.

If I didn't have a Drawer Full of Mods I don't use I would buy One in a Heart Beat.

Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - LT VV

Must be getting rid of old stock, wow!! Here's the newest ones-

Yeah... That is definitely Different from mine.

    How Old is yours?

Never had one. Just bought my first non-ego this month, lol. Oh hey, you didn't click the "20% Off"- it's $7.99! Costs more for the crappy Trustfire charger they offer with it, lol.

Mods that cost less than batteries and chargers, hmmmm....
