lavatube is it dead

hi everybody new on here but been vaping since last year (may 21st). recently bought this from zainy New generation lavatube body for replacement - Zainy - Electronic Cigarettes

when it arrived I put the battery in 1865 type. As I was touching both battery terminal and thread with the base the lcd flashed a few times. After screwing the base on I found it impossible to get it to work. tried the 5 clicks thing, different batterys, and all sorts of combinations button pressing. Can anyone help please.

The flashes when you insert the battery show that your Lavatube is, indeed, working.

The five button presses have to be accomplished as quickly as you possibly can. Hint: DON'T count your presses -- that just slows you down! The Lavatube ignores extra presses, so start wailing away on that button as fast as you can. Eventually you'll be rewarded with a functioning Lavatube.

Just to check you are pressing the button below the + and - buttons and not the large activation button?

I thought mine had died just after I got it. I turned it off and it wouldn't go back on! Then , I was told that 5 clicks doesn't always work - just click until it comes on. That seems to be the ticket with this one.....

Yeah, don't even count. Just punch-punch-punch, etc., until it comes on.

I smoke the inferno from volcanoecig.com, and it works the same way. I have no idea why, but it ALWAYS takes seven quick clicks instead of five to register even though it says to click five times. Strange, but it works. Happy vaping!
