If you're looking for a VV mod just go for a provari, plain and simple, well built, long lasting device. Vmax runs on pulse width modulation and the voltage shown on it doesn't add up to what's being outputted, if i remember correctly at 3.3V it was firing at something equivalent to a 4.2V, this is very dangerous, if you aren't careful you'll ruin your carto, lavatube is a nice alternative, a knock off of the provari most would say, it does the job at a cheaper price, but its not as powerful as a provari, being that the current limit on those are limited to 2.5amps, on a provari you can go up to 3.5amps and even though the menu system seems abit of a hassle it really isn't, just search youtube on Pbusardo's reviews on the Vmax, Lavatube and Provari, he has reviews out for all 3 and even comparisons on them.

I have the latest Vmax version & the voltage output is quite consistant from what is shown on the LED screen. The review done by Pbusardo was done with the funky first version. I don't doubt the performance & build quality is not on par with a Provari but for the price it's quite close to one. It's 70% close to a Provari for less than half the price & I think that's a bargain :p

Maybe, I'm not sure, I've pretty much stopped looking into VV Mods ever since I got my Provari, the only thing a Vmax would have over a provari would be its amperage limit, which is 5 amps, which is by the way, something you never ever want to get close to, that is the absolute maximum amp a battery can be discharged at. But with that being said I'm also not a fan of pulse width modulation, I much prefer a straight DC signal where it's actually, literally constant, rather than pulsating voltages to average out what you set, also, Provari's accuset technology makes whatever voltage you set it accurate to 1%, so that's a big plus for me.

Yes version 2, the one sold at Bolehland. I heard from the supplier there will be a new Vmax coming out soon. It will be called the Zmax with many improvements & better build quality. No ETA on when it will be released but the Vmax will be discontinued. Just heard this from the supplier & I have no concrete proof if this is true or not so treat it as hearsay.

I'm actually a fan on PWM as it allows the Vmax to hit like a beast. You have very valid points there & I think the Provari is the best device out there in the market. I think it boils down to preferences on how one likes the feeling of PWM or straight DC signal. However from where I'm from the price of one Provari equals to two Vmax. I'm saving up for a Provari now so down the road I can vape with option as some juices does well with PWM & some with constant output ^_^

I didn't know there is a store at the caltex, esso & shell cluster ^_^' If you're talking about the ones over the causeway then their stuff are non standard & over priced! Zmax is variable wattage bro....

In the last setting option there is a choice of voltage orr wattage I believe. Thought of getting a vmax v2, but zmax seems to fit most batteries. Any idea between the two?

Btw, if anyone of you used ego twist before, how long do they last you? I'm using my one and only twist but not sure if it would die out on me soon. Saw someone saying that his twist last him 50days only.

Thanks in advance
