    in a cave, eh?
The device will keep the voltage low on low-resistance cartomizers regardless of what setting you put it on, so they will work. If you're getting new cartos, I would recommend you look at 3 ohm cartos. If you want to use a carto tank, you might look at Dremeling or saddle punching the hole(s) in them yourself. You probably want to see if one hole works before making another one in the carto. I have not tried this with the SmokTech DCT where the cartos are built with a flange, I have a Liquinator myself.

You don't have to go as high as 3.0ohms. 2.5ohm is enough to go all the way up 6.0 volts without triggering the Lavatube's safety cutoff.

So i'm really thinking about buying this PV but first i wanna ask you guys; would you recommend it? Do you have any issues with it? Let me know!!

    :vapor:

Well I got the LavaTube yesterday and vaped literally non stop and got 12 hrs before battery needed to be charged. So far I love it. Very light weight and nice smooth finish, solid, nice button, and all you have to do is turn the power on and use the + or - button to turn voltage up or down. So far so good

i have a quick question about the lavatube. people are saying not to use lr cartomizers and dual coils, i get that but if i ran them at 3.7v are they fine to use. hava a few laying around and want to use them in my lavatube

LR Cartos and Dual Coil work great on the Lava Tube, Thats what I've been using with mine. boge 2ohm or 1.5 Dual coils

After all the good reviews of the LavaTube, I'm keeping my eye open for when this might be sold in the USA.

    2SMOK - Cigarros Electrónicos | LavaTube

Looks like it is the LavaTube's smaller brother.

That's ... interesting. But let's be honest here, a varivolt device with a 900mAh battery? You'll get about half a day's vaping out of that if you're pushing the amps. It's nice to see a smaller option but part of the reason most people get fat mods is to get an all day vape in addition to whatever other features it offers.

Oooh that's awesome! If there's one thing I don't really like about the Lavatube is the height, it's too tall and lanky :)

I hear you. By the time you put a 3ml tank with a Drip Tip on some of the mods they are about a foot long.

Well, that looks interesting. You don't get anywhere near the same kind of mAh as with the regular one, though. I also gotta wonder if the shorter form factor and side button placement is as comfortable.

Not sure how comfortable the buttons would be. But at that price I would give it a shot to see.

900mAh isn't going to hold me back. Seeing that I use a 650 or 900mAh eGo when I'm out and about right now.

Sure. I have a higher mAh home VVPV. But I want a smaller VVPV for the road. And I don't want to spend the bucks on another Provari just to drop it or have it roll around in my car.

Maybe it is me, but I don't like carry around a foot long mod that has 9,000mAh when I hope in the car to get a loaf of bread from the store.

And I guess if I HAD to have more mAh with this Mini-ThunderVolt I could always just slip the second batery into my pocket. A 18350 battery is only 35mm/1.37" long.

True, but you're generally not sucking 2+ amps from it on a regular basis.

Sure, as a backup or quick jaunt PV I can certainly see it. I just can't see it being my main vape.

Maybe not for you. But you might be surprised just how many people are turned-off by some mods due to there size. Some of us would like a slightly more descrete size VVPV.

Once again, the old addage is true.

"One Size Does Not Fit All."

True, and I like small mods myself. My only real concern was the fact that it's VV, so 900mAh isn't going to last you very long if you're pushing the volts.

I'm sure at the watts I vape and amount of hits I take it should last 2 or 3 hours at least.

And like I said, if I need more I can pop in a fresh battery.

Most 18350 imr batteries are around 700mah, which would be more realistic as the power source. Someone could find a higher mah probably at a much higher price.

With that said it is nice, but it seems to be a cut down Knight rider VV(Lava tube) . That would be great with an extender to bring it back to 18650, configurable VV very useful.

Yeah. The specs show it as 700mAh on the web site link I posted.

I was a little surprised that an Extender Cap on that Mini-ThunderVolt (aka LavaTube, Night Rider, Long Black $90 Mod, etc.) wasn't an option. Perhaps that would make it to close to the Provari for the lawyers not to get involved.
