I got 2 of the generic red(ish) batteries with my kit. The ones that are flat at both ends. I haven't heard of anyone in Canada getting fake AWs in their kit. This seems to be a Volcano issue.

I just received mine yesterday and I'm loving it. However, I did get the fake battteries. When I first opened the package I thought it was odd that one of the AW stickers was sideways on the battery but thought...oh well, must just have been put on wrong going through the factory. I just got home tonight and wanted to say how much I think of the LavaTube and I see this issue about knockoff batteries.
I still am enjoying the product but now I'm wondering if the batteries are not what they're suppose to be then how do we know if the quality of the tube itself is what they claim as well. I really hope that it's just a battery issue and not the devise itself that we may have issues with in the short term. I'm sure that Volcano and Lavatubes.com were not aware but the bottom line is that I work hard for my money and a big part of my decision in making this purchase was that they were selling a brand name quality battery with the Tube.
Hopefully, everything will work out ok for those that have made the purchase.

Granted I am happy with my current setup (for now lol), and have never used the LT, hearing these issues popping up have made me kind of happy I waited instead of just jumping on it.

You may be right zer0ith, I haven't had yet a chance to try yet all possible combinations of atomizers/cartomizers on this device. I may just need some guidance.

Try a Vision clearo. Personally I love these things (the LED portion of it wore off rather quickly with me, but it might look cool if you have a clear juice and if they had a red LED with them). Holds a great amount of juice, nice warm vapor, you've got a VV so you can turn it up or down depending on your juice. Found they were amazing on the ego w/booster
A DC would be nice but because of the protection it may not be super good. Also I have found that juice selection in it is key. I'm running a DC tank at 5v with a very caramel ry4 (which tasted like poop when dripping) tastes amazing with this setup.

What's needed is a PV that can accept BOTH an 18350 AND an 18650 battery.
And is VV and can be charged with an eGo Charger. And has a native eGo Connector.
And has a switch that you can replace, remove and use on any PV.

So has anyone heard anything more about these mini's? It's really all I can think about! Also is Volcano really still the only person selling the VV 18650 Ryder on American soil? I almost bought some Volcano stuff at one point, then I realized I could get the exact same stuff much cheaper somewhere else. I think they are awesome offering premium gear with pre-filled cartridges to new vapors...I was far into vaping by the time I found them. So that being said, I was wondering if they mark up an ego 10 - 20 percent if they don't do the same to the Ryder tube.
A couple of US Vendors have told me that they might be carring it in a couple of weeks. Just have to wait and see what happens.
I think the enite AW Fake Battery thing with L-Rider/Volcano kinda threw a wrench into the works.
Well I get all my batteries from Super-T Manufacturing, and have a Pila Charger among others so I am far from buying anything with a Kit. Didn't someone say we could start a Co-Op and buy them 10 at a time from China? I am ready to get that started, even if I have to do it myself. Any interest or information would be appreciated! I will even ship to CANADA! Gasp!
