I know there's a travel section, but they all want to talk about taking regular 510 stuff through. All I have is two ProVaris. Anyone traveled through LAX with one? Anyone traveled through TSA at all with one? I plan to take both, with spare batteries and a charger, and some juice and stuff. The thing I'm really worrying about is the filling needle/syringe, but if anyone has any feedback about the ProVari and TSA specifically, I'd be eager to hear it.

I just found out I'm going to be traveling three weeks out of the next five, cross-country trips to the East Coast, starting tomorrow. No time to get any eGo stuff that I wouldn't care about.

I've gone through LAX with my ProVari. Just make sure you take the carto/atty off while its being scanned and carry a ProVape or other e-cig retailers business card and keep it close in case you have to explain.

I had TSA question me in New York but not in LA. I had a carto on the device in New York. It probably looks suspicious going through a scanner for anyone that has no idea what it is.

Ah - good information, thanks. I'm flying to NY, NY (well, Brooklyn, anyway) this week, then CT in a couple of weeks, and PA the week after that.

Made it right through LAX without a single question. Had both PVs in my luggage, along with 7 bottles of juice, various CE2 XL cartos, and even filling syringes. Vaped in the bathroom on the airplane, and I've vaped in the cabs out here. I'm going back home day after tomorrow, and I hope it'll be the same flying out of Kennedy.

I just read they are going to ban e cigs on all flights starting this spring. I know some people have actually vaped on the planes but this will now be a thing of the past.

You could still go in the bathroom like I do.

I've never openly vaped away in my seat, I think that's kinda rude to everyone else.

I vaped in the LAX restaurant, about six months ago. Nobody said a word, nobody cared.

I also vapped at Kennedy, in the terminal... again, noone said anything! (I had a flight from LAX to NY to Israel, about 14 hours total, and was NOT going to make it the entire time without vapping!)

I didn't vap in my seat on the plane, but I did go into the bathroom a number of times and vapped.

Sometimes I think vappers make a much bigger deal of it then the general public does!

No problems getting through Kennedy. I won't say I vaped openly, but I did vape in the terminal, waiting for the plane, and I vaped in my seat most of the flight - lots of turbulence and the seatbelt sign was on most of the flight. I just held it in until there was little or no vapor coming out when I exhaled. No issues, no questions, no comments.

Im sorry please dont get me started on this TSA crap, it makes me so angry. Why the hell are people being subjected to this? and why are people so seemingly ok with it? Does it make any sense for our children, mothers, and wives to get felt in their privates by some lowlife who could either fling hamburgers at Mcdonalds, or work in the TSA? You people should be furious as well and if your not then YOUR part of the problem! Apologies to the owner of this thread and for my outburst but i mean every word.

I am not at all trying to justify all of the actions of the TSA, but if what they are doing will stop another 9-11 and save 3000+ lives, then maybe it's worth it.

Great topic..I've been through several airports with a ProVape-1 and ProVari and at the time had a cartomizer installed. They were in a black leather pouch inside my carry-on with some juice. The screener asked if they could re-scan my bag. They took out the leather pouch, scanned it through xray and returned it to me saying that it was my "flashlight" that they wanted to look at again under xray. They never opened the pouch.

In another airport the screener had a supervisor come over to look at the xray screen and he said it was ok, never opened my bag.

In the future I'll remove the atty/carto as I think it will help. :)

It might not be bad to remove the carto. I had mine disassembled, and they didn't even question it. I had your card in there, just in case, but didn't need it at either airport. Next week I'm flying to White Plains, and the week after that I'll be going through SeaTac, so it's going to get a workout. I was going to get one of those laser pointer/flashlight attachments for them, but with no drama at LAX or Kennedy I didn't see the point.
