I just got one of these, and thought I'd share my impressions.
Once again I'd like to thank Monkey Mama for the video, as her confirming the compatibility of ProTank / Evod heads in this device swayed me to get one to try.
I also swapped out the head for a PT / Evod head, and it works fine for me too.
The heads are almost identical, with the exception of the Evod head's flange is a slightly larger diameter. I can't help but wonder exactly how interchangeable they are in various tanks and cartos.
The Mini Trophy is a little taller than Mini ProTank II, which it so closely resembles. Side by side one could mistake them for each other easily; however, they are actually significantly different.
I was a bit surprised to find these don't disassemble the way Mini ProTanks do. In this aspect they are more akin to an Evod, which in retrospect is why I suppose they are classified as cartos rather than tanks.
This makes them more like an Evod when it comes to cleaning, but the supports between the air tube ring and the threaded ferrule make it a little more difficult.
The Evod's air tube is unsupported when the base it off leaving the juice well accessible during cleaning to blow out excess water or run a pipe cleaner around to dry it out. Blowing out a Mini Trophy is impossible. One can get a pipe cleaner in there, but it's difficult to get rid of all the condensation. If that's important to you a little time air drying may be in order.
The Mini ProTanks have 2 supports between the air tube ring and ferrule. As an Evod user I learned quickly keep those supports turned away from the juice bottle nipple during filling. Failing to do so causes the juice to run right into the air tube.
The Mini Trophy has 3 supports, and the filling space between them is narrower than the Mini ProTank's. I advise a little slower filling of the Mini Trophy compared to the other two.
The main reason I tried this carto is because I wanted to test the draw. I'm a bit disenchanted with the draw on Evods, as I find them a little too tight. The lack of air/vapor mix causes heavier flavors to become somewhat cloying. I find the draw on Mini ProTanks a little too airy, and regulate those to heavier flavors like Belgian Waffle, as they make fruity flavors a little too light. What I want is something in between, and this carto is pretty close.
On a draw scale of 1-10 with Evods at 1 and MPT's at 10 I'm looking for a 5. This Trophy ranked at about 7, which isnt a lot different than the MPT. Nevertheless, its different enough, and I found it to be quite pleasant with both Belgian Waffle and Orange-Pineapple 80/20 juices. That's about as close to perfect as I've found.
They may require a little more work to clean and a little more caution in filling, but this one delivered a great vape for me. I'll definitely be getting more.
