I have a relatively new Grand. At the top under the atomizer, I have a rather small leak between the plastic "box" and the metal of the Grand. I would like to take it apart and have a look. Are there any hints or any things I should know before I dig into it? Without taking it apart, there is nothing that is visible showing exactly where the leak starts. On the other hand, is this something I should send ti back to REO for a look. I'd rather not send it back, I have only one REO and don't really want to part with it.

Thanks

It's a very simple design, only concern is it's easy to strip the screw if you have a heavy hand. Use a precision, small screw driver, and only finger tighten it, when it stops you're done, do not give the extra little turn.

A lot of times the leak is not from there but is from the rba itself and juice likes to migrate to that location. Give it a good bath, run plenty of water through it, let it dry. Put a O ring on the outside of the RBA at the base under the air hole to see if juice collects there. It can be from over squonking or even vapor condensation in the RBA.

Did you take off the tube, if so you might not have gotten it back on all the way. It would have come from Rob super glued in place, but it might have slipped.

If you pull the screw and look behind the covers, you should see that the tube is pressed all the way up against the firing pin like this.

I know, how you feel; I had the exact same problem 3 month ago and ended up buying my second Grand before sending the leaking one in.
After removing battery, bottle and bottle top, you can unscrew the delrin cover and remove it by moving it downwards, away from the 510 connection.
When you install the derin cover later, make sure to fasten the screw very easy to prevent the screw threads (in the Grand back wall) to break.
With the delrin cover removed, you can reinstall the bottle to check, what happens during squonks.

I've found that a leak at the tube will drip down the inside of the Reo from under the Delrin and will be on the outside of the bottle and back inside wall of the Reo. Because of the metal lip that the plastic goes over if the juice is at the top of that 95% of the time it came from above, since a leak inside would have to have worked it's way up and around the bend.

Please put
a note with your email address and a brief description of the problem . Also
empty any e juice in the mod and remove the bottle .It helps to put a tissue or napkin around the tube . Please clean the mod if its a mechanical mod flush the mod with hot water and soap .
