No my friend not silly at all its the little things that get people even I miss the simple things at times . I once replaced a vv chip in a mod and you no what the problem was a loose spring . Talk about a toss yourself in the dirt moment .
I appreciate what you do. Now that I have this figured out, when I can, I will send my last one in for the new 510. I guess I get a little flustered sometime and miss things that are right in front of my face. Thank you much, Rob :).

Didn't have TFE Paste, but used some teflon tape, it wasn't too hard to get in there and get the stainless pin back on, it came out pretty awesome. No more leaks!!! Yay! Thanks Rob.

Thats awesome! New the ss 510 would be the best choice.. now no doubt one will have no prob swapping contacts without snapping the thin former brass nipple.

So I JUST found this thread. For weeks I've been baffled by this problem with juice pooling at the bottom of my mod.

Just to clarify, is the solution to:

1) take out the adjustable 510 grub
2) apply Teflon tape onto the threads where the grub screw into
3) re-inserting the grub screw?

Also this nipple that everyone seems to be talking about. (Lol)... What exactly is that referring to?

Glad you asked, because that's not what you want to do.

The nipple refers to the metal piece that your bottle feed tube connects to. You want to take that nipple off, then apply Teflon tape or paste to the male threads that the nipple screws on to. Rob posted a video on page one or two of this thread showing how to do it.

Hahahahahah I figured it out right after I posted it. I have no idea how I managed to massacre the instructions up like that. Apologies!

It's all good.

I broke my positive contact on my first Grand before I realized the nipple unscrewed:p

I had always wondered how folks removed the positive contact when it is held in there so tight.

Until now.

I promise I'm quite a bit smarter than this most times!
